I have also spent many years working in the fishing tackle industry, which has given me extensive knowledge of fishing techniques, equipment, bait, and local fishing conditions. - ## My Favorite Fishing Techniques I enjoy many different fishing techniques, from traditional Vietnamese methods to modern sport fishing. My favorite techniques include: * **Hand Pole Fishing (Pole Fishing Without a Reel):** One of my favorite techniques and very popular in Vietnam. It requires good control of the rod, line, float, bait, and precise timing when the fish bites. It is especially exciting when fighting big fish on a long pole without a reel. * **Raft Fishing:** Fishing from floating rafts on rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. This is a great way to reach deeper water and productive fishing areas while enjoying the beautiful natural scenery of Vietnam. * **Lure Fishing:** Using artificial lures to target predatory fish. I enjoy searching different areas, testing different lure actions, and actively hunting for fish. * **Live Bait Fishing:** Using natural or live bait to target different freshwater species. This traditional and effective technique is commonly used in many parts of Vietnam. * **Set-Line Fishing:** A traditional method where baited lines are placed in selected areas and checked later. Local fishermen often use this technique in rivers, lakes, and other natural waters. I especially enjoy introducing international anglers to traditional Vietnamese fishing techniques and showing them how local anglers adapt their methods to different waters and fish species.
