Kevin has always loved being around the water and has served in the Coast Guard. He has always enjoyed fishing and didn't see himself spending more time in a 9-5 job so he found a perfect combination of pleasure and enjoyment and became a captain. He enjoys showing people what's out there, teaching them about the fish, and how to fish for certain species. He's been living and fishing in the area for 8 years now and has seen the area go through a lot of changes. His Moto is 'Keep it simple and don't overthink things'.

Kevin was great, knowledgeable and kind. we caught a bunch of fish and some keepers. looking forward to another trip in the future.

Half Day Trip – Inshore (PM) • 2 adultsNo bells and whistles but fun nonetheless. Captain Kevin is knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating! My husband and I had a lot of fun and would charter him again. Ladies- FYI, no bathroom. You’ll have to go for a swim for that. 😉

You are correct about the no bells and whistles, that's how I keep my prices affordable, from my experience with saltwater bells and whistles tend to break very often. You are correct about the boat not having a full stand-up bathroom (due to the catamaran hull) however I do have a portable camping style toilet in the center console.

Yesterday the bottom bite was great and there was a pretty decent weedline in close too. We caught a variety of mahi, spanish mackerel, snapper, triggerfish and porgies plus some small grouper. Get out and practice some social distancing while this bite is hot with Kovach Fishing Charters.

First I just want to thank everyone who has served this great country. Summer is here and so are the Mahi. If you are ready to get out of the house come do some grocery shopping on the water. Wow, thats all I can say. The fishing inshore has been hot this past week. All of my inshore trips produced some very nice sheepsheads, some nice muttons, mangrove and cubera snappers as well as some nice snook and redfish. Be sure to book your next adventure soon because we are booking up fast due to spring break and people getting tax returns.

The inshore/nearshore fishing has been on fire here the past couple weeks. Yesterday I had two amazing groups in back to back half-day trips and the fishing was non-stop all day. We ended up catching 13 different species total and everyone went home with enough for a couple dinners. If you are interested in booking a trip we are booking up fast so don't miss out.
