I have been fishing my whole life and consider myself a very well rounded fisherman. I got my start with the traditional Zebco 202, fishing for Bluegill and Largemouth Bass with my father. It wasn't long before I bought my first boat and started fishing for Rockfish on the Chesapeake Bay. I then moved to Ocean City, Maryland where I became a successful offshore mate earning my master captain's license fishing primarily for Marlin, Tuna, and Shark. After visiting the Keys on vacation I knew this was where I wanted to live. In 2000 I took the leap and moved to Cudjoe Key and haven't looked back since. I have been a full-time guide in the Florida Keys ever since.
I have a knack for understanding what the customer wants, from bending the rod on a family fishing trip to taking more serious anglers out on spin and fly. My goal is to make you feel like you're fishing with an old fishin' buddy. I am very patient with children and novice anglers as well as the experienced pro.

Full Day Trip • 2 adultsCaptain Bob Beighley was great - I have been on a number of charters, and he was by far the best charter captain I have had. He was great about sharing his knowledge about the Florida Keys, about the fish we were pursuing, and about how to best find and fish the species we were after. Even when we were not landing fish, we still got something valuable out of that portion of the charter. And we caught lots of sharks on our charter, safely releasing all of them. He was also fantastic with my 14 yr old son, and took a lot of time to make sure my son was super comfortable and let him take the lead with all of our fishing. Would 110% take a charter with Captain Bob again next time we are in the Keys.

3/4 Day Trip • 2 adultsCapt Bob told us that he had a plan A, B, & C. When it was all said and done, all 3 plans produced fish. Emily’s Permit was 25 pounds and mine came in around 15 pounds. We also caught several 7-9’ Lemon Sharks. Top notch boat and gear, and a Captain that knows these waters. Would definitely fish with Capt Bob again!!
