Captain Laurens Koen has been fishing these waters for the past 3 decades and guided customers for two and a half. He's mastered all the best-hidden fishing spots and tricks of the local fish. He got his undying love of the ocean at just 5 years old, when he got his first pair of fins and a snorkeling mask. He feels lucky that he lives on the water and that what used to be his hobby has become his day job. Always doing everything in his power to help his customers catch as much fish as possible, Capt. Laurens and his team will make sure your trips are fun and successful!

    Greatest fishing trip experience

    We recently embarked on a fishing trip that turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of my life! From start to finish, every moment was filled with excitement. Throughout the day, we caught several fish, each one more exciting than the last. Our guide shared tips on technique and bait, enriching our skills and making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, this fishing trip exceeded all my expectations. It was not just about catching fish; it was about connecting , learning new skills, and bonding with friends. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy a day on the water. I can't wait to go back for another adventure!

    Day trip with GozaAzul fishing charter

    Special 6 hours trip for Douglas Macfarlane • 2 adults

    Laurence was great to communicate with and shared advice about travel and things to do. We initially booked for half day then extended to a full day on the water. Fishing was not fantastic but we fished hard and came right with three fish during the day. A great day out. Boat very comfortable, crew knowledgeable and well worth it.

Fishing Charters, the way you like it!

mar 30, 2015 • Inhaca
The first half of March 2015 produced very good catches of Dorado, wahoo, yellow fin tuna and good marlin action of Ponta do Ouro. 95% of the fish were caught on PULSATOR lures trawling offshore in the deeper purple blue waters with water temperatures averaging around 27.5 degrees. We mainly trawled konas in the 30 to 50 pounds class. The Louies exciter lure produced the most fish and is my personal preferred PULSATOR lure. This lure need very little speed and perform well at high speed too, "smokes" like a steam train and "swim" with a left/right motion giving it a live like action. I was fortunate enough to see many a dorado coming in with great speed attacking these lures with reels screaming soon afterwards. Catching dorado this time of year is very "late" as they normally frequent our waters around November & December. This might be a good indication that the season might be late giving as the chance for good billfish action still to come. With this in mind, we are looking at working the deeper offshore waters of Inhaca Island / Santa Maria for Mr. Billfish. Fish we caught with the Louies exciter PULSATOR lures, to name but a few species, dorado, tuna, wahoo, cuta, marlin and sailfish. The fishing inshore has been slow with cuta, prodigal son, yellow fin tuna and dorado coming out using bait. With you, our valued customer in mind, custom boat charters and packages to suite your fishing needs are available on request.
