Fishing is hot!

It just keeps getting better! The surf trips are giving up good numbers of tasty fish. Have you ever tried northern kingfish? They are super tasty! Flaky mild white meat that makes great sandwiches or tacos. Besides kingfish, there are blues, croakers, spot, sharks, and rays. Great action, especially if you are introducing a child to fishing. The 4 hour boat trips are giving up a ton of fun too. Flounder are everywhere. Mostly shorts, but some nice keepers in the mix. Triggerfish have officially invaded and pop up on random structure, or chase your catch up to rhe surface. There are also plentybof sea bass put there bending rids roo. But they are not in season yet. And tog opens back up in August. Have I mentioned the sharks? They seem to be everywhere. Big ones, little ones, and everything in between. Lots a fun action to be had on the fishing grounds. The back bays still have flounder holding out, along with some croakers. The reefs have a larger assortment of species; flounder, sea bass, tog, triggerfish, sea robin, sharks, and more. It has been fun! A lot of fun. And it should just keep getting better.

Had a great morning out on the beach despite the threatening weather. Decent action with kingfish and the bullnosed rays and butterfly rays provided drag burning excitement. Storms stayed away until we were wrapping it up for the day. So we lucked out all around.
