Warm Water Bite with Grey Triggerfish

Off the charts bite, this morning! We caught Flounder, Black Sea Bass, Croakers and Dogfish. Sometimes, we caught doubles and multiple hookups at same time! After a few quieter days last week, this was a welcome change. Water was 68, low wind, drift speed ranged from .75 to 2.25 mph, started with heavy, low fog that ended quickly with full sun. With this group, we had a blast!! No long trip to a reef, and we bent rods for less money and just 15 minutes after leaving dock. (Actually, we caught the first two fish 1 minute from dock.?)

Monday’s wind and rain put a hurt’n on fishing for Tuesday, but the bite got much better, today. We caught a lot of small Black Sea Bass and some near keeper size flounder. It was all about timing the hookset and letting out just enough line to stay on the bottom. Just as we neared the finish line, a solid rainstorm struck and soaked us. (Free Mother Nature boat wash!) With everyone catching flounder, the trip was a success!!! ???

We started early on another unexpected windy day, but Sun was shining strong and water was warm and clear. With some heavier weights, we held bottom and picked up our first flounder in a few minutes. We caught Dogfish and Sea Bass, too. Everybody enjoyed all the fish catching in just two hours. Another 5-STAR trip!!! ????
