We caught; Mangrove Snapper, Barracuda, Lemon shark, Goliath Grouper and Snook. Really fun fishing trip. Captain Alex Monteagudo is a top notch fishing guide.
Alex was amazing. We fished with 3 different charters 3 days in row and Alex made our last day on the water the best. He successfully targeted any species that we ask him to go after. We almost had a grand slam, but not from lack of effort from Alex. The only fish we didn’t land was a tarpon, but we hooked up on three but failed to land them, that’s fishing. Alex was super great with my nine-year-old son was very knowledgeable on the water. we will definitely be rebooking when we come back. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to catch quality and quantity booking with Alex.
Alex knows the backwater like no other. He let us decide what to target and what type of fishing we wanted to do and then we were quickly underway. His laidback style and easygoing nature made for a fun and relaxing trip. Alex put in a full day of heavy pursuit. after each species targeted and successfully caught he would offer to target different species or continue on the current pursuit. This trip was taken in March and we had a blast.
Learned of Alex from the show “Life by the Bow”. After seeing him on the show, we knew we had to charter with him. He absolutely lived up to our expectations, and we are making plans to visit the Keys again just to go fishing with him!
Cap'n Alexander was the best. He and the boat were ready to go early. The only day I had available was not good weather. i was determined to go out, and Alexander was up front that it would be tough conditions. Thankfully his knowledge and expertise made the best of rough seas. He got me on the fish and had non stop action in the backcountry. Check him out if you want an experienced professional!
My son and I had a great trip with Alex. The fish were bit biting at their usual pace, and he made sure we stayed out till we caught a snook, which both did. He’s got a great (and patient) demeanor that works for both adults and non-adults. We would definitely book him again, and we would also highy recommend him to others.
