Hat Trick!
Maybe it was the cold snap in mid-July, maybe it was the great crew, we know it wasn’t our expert angling… but whatever the cause, we caught BIG fish and GREAT numbers! The captain was patient out group aged 4 to 74. We caught about a dozen lakers, and a coho and king salmon to boot. We lost a few too on our own account. With the amount of fish we had, we elected to wrap up our half-day trip a half hour early to catch the next lift bridge passing. It took some hustle to get lines in, but Joe and his first mate worked fast. Joe’s boat rips, and we made it with a few minutes to spare. Joe’s gear is exceptional and his boat was immaculate for a charter fishing vessel. Loved having backrests on the benches. He kept it clean, helped all the kids and grandparents to hold fish, get pics, and keep the tip up when dealing in some 10+ pounders. If I ever charter out of Superior again, I’ll look to Joe first.
