Family had a blast! The captain was super knowledgable, fun and helpful. Saw dolphins and even caught a few nice fish!

This was the first time going after scallops. It was amazing !! We found 3 orange scallops and ended up with 175 total scallops between 3 of us. The small ones had to go back to grow. This is a trip that I would definitely do again. Captain JC is awesome and if you listen to what he tells you, then you definitely find scallops. We seen starfish, a seahorse, sheepshead fish, toad fish, remora fish, and even a stingray. You also see lots of other little fish around. It's an amazing experience. Definitely worth doing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Jayson is a fantastic guide and we caught fish all day. The boat is clean, top of the line equipment, plenty of live bait, and great communication prior to the trip. We caught reds all day and when one spot stopped producing fish we moved locations to where the fish were and would hook up again. Jayson knows the water and tides, where the fish are, and best of all, Jayson is an overall great person to spend the day on the water with. Don't look for another guide as Jayson is the man you will want to fish with!!!!

Hands down, we recommend Jason Cochran for the best inshore fishing experience! We took our almost 7-year-old son out for his birthday, and this trip did not disappoint. Jason is professional, knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly family- and kid-friendly. He made the experience fun, memorable, and exciting from start to finish. We met at the dock a bit early. Jason was there and was all ready for us. He had gone out very early and got us a good variety of very lively bait fish a shrimp. The boat was immaculate and all of the rods and reels were neatly placed in their holders all set up for the day. The tide was exceptionally low so we took it easy going to our first stop. After getting our lines in the water, Jason explained his decision as to why he stopped where we were. He had very sound reasoning which lead to us catching a good number and variety of fish. We picked up and went hunting for something a bit bigger. He took us to a spot filled with trout. Where we quickly adopted our saying of the day 14 and a half as they have to be 15" to keep. Thus began our ritual of catch and release. This became very evident at our next stop where almost every cast brought us in a grouper. Some of them were decent sized. Unfortunately season on them was closed. We also brought up ladies, puffers, kittie cats and snappers. We were having a great time, but had no keeper trout which was the goal for the day, so we picked up and headed back to our second stop. The trout bite was on! In addition to several 14.5" we got 2 nice keepers. Then it was on to the stilt houses. The Native Americans that built them knew a lot about trout fishing as we laid into them catching a number of 14.5" and one nice lunker. Then we tried an oyster bar only to get robbed by the sea gulls who flew off with our Riggs, and dolphins who were encroaching on our fishing hole. In no time it was time to go in, where Jason cleaned our catch for the day and gave us tips on local businesses to check out. We had a fantastic time and plan to book Jason once a month. We would highly recommend JC Charters for all of your upcoming inland fishing trips. He is patient, kind, and courteous. We never touched a bait, took off a fish or fixed a rig. Jason was always Johnnie on the spot and did it all for us. He is worth his weight in gold. Thank you for a great day Jason!!

JC Charter was amazing from booking to after the trip. Every step along the way couldn't have been better. JC was amazing he really put forth so much effort to make our trip special. We went wanting to catch Red fish and boy did we ever. Not to mention both me and my girlfriend caught the biggest fish of our lives, we each caught and landed a trophy sized Snook each. I had no expectations to catch. These fish but so happy to have done so. And I can't forget we caught Speckled sea trout and lady fish. JC is very knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. I will be booking another trip when I return to New Port Richey next year. If you wanna have a great trip JC is your captain, remember it's fishing not catching and if you live to fish with a great captain JC is the guy. Fish bite when they want but it was JC who got us to them. I couldn't be happier with our trip and those are lifetime memories of the beautiful area and the chance to catch great fish.
