Captain Wade took us on the Columbia River to search for Sturgeon. Every location we caught fish. Really big ones. My 16 year old nephew first time fishing and he caught the largest one. So big we couldn't even get it in the boat. At least 7 feet long.

The trip was great—we caught Chinook! The captain had a nice boat, quality gear, and came well prepared to work efficiently and keep lines in the water. When a fish was on, he would start barking orders, so he may not be for the thin-skinned who aren’t ready to work, but he does a great job of keeping things from descending into chaos, which I appreciated. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and we learned a lot from him. When lines got tangled or a fish was on, he worked quickly and gave clear instructions. He helped us save a couple of fish that we probably would have lost otherwise. He knows the area, knows his stuff, and his sonar is legit! He clearly wasn’t just following the other boats—he knew where to find the fish. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a productive and well-run fishing trip.
We were here for spring break and luckily we still had a few weeks left of the season. We were warned that the season was pretty much over and we may get slim pickings but we were hopeful. Lo and behold not only did we catch crabs, We probably caught over 100 crabs and had to throw even the medium ones back because we kept getting so many monsters. My son was so beyond happy and ecstatic. Wade is a good dude and put my son to work which he loved. Even if you don’t catch anything, the boat is awesome and you’ll learn a lot. Wade was very honest about our chances very knowledgeable about the tides the location and what to expect during the time of year. I cannot recommend him enough.
Chaos of a trip that was awesome, insane amount of Salmon. The family I brought with me wants to go again and to make sure I have Wade if possible be our guide. Even though we plan to buy a boat ourselves to fish without a guide Wade showed the benefits of having a pro guide on-board.
Great first time experience on the Columbia. Guide made it look relatively easy, but we know it wasn't with all the chaos of boats and challenges that go with finding retaining fish. I'd go with Wade again in a heartbeat.
really wanted an ocean fishing trip over the weekend and booked one. Captain called me and said sorry cant go ocean fishing with the swell but I can take you to the river and weve had good luck. He put us on the boat fish the minute we started the day. Great attitude and great deck hand. Id highly recommend take a trip and catch a couple fish.
