I wanted to start off by saying that I normally don’t leave reviews in general—good or bad—but Outta Line Fishing Charters 100% deserves one.
When we first got on the boat, John, like any human being, seemed a little quiet at first. But once we got out on the water and started fishing, he really opened up. We ended up talking about fishing, jobs, careers, life, and pretty much everything in between. It was really easy to have a conversation with him, and you could tell right away that he genuinely knows what he’s doing.
John was extremely knowledgeable about fishing and the area, and you could tell he wasn’t just taking us out there and hoping we got lucky. He knew where to go, what to use, how to set everything up, and was always willing to explain what we were doing and why.
The fishing started off pretty slow, but one thing that really stood out to me was how dedicated John was to getting us on fish. He never seemed like he was going to just call it a day or accept that the fishing was slow. He kept working, switching things up, trying different spots, and doing whatever he could to give us the best chance at catching something. His effort eventually paid off, and we ended up catching Spanish mackerel and even got a shark! That made the trip so much more memorable, especially knowing how hard he worked to make sure we didn’t leave without getting on some fish.
What really stood out to me was that John wasn’t just focused on getting us on fish—he wanted us to have a great experience overall. He was friendly, down-to-earth, and made the trip feel like we were fishing with someone we had known for a lot longer than a few hours.
If you’re thinking about booking a fishing charter, I honestly couldn’t recommend Outta Line Fishing Charters enough. Whether you’re an experienced fisherman or someone who doesn’t fish much at all, John will make sure you have a great time. We had an awesome trip, caught some great fish, and will definitely be booking with Outta Line again!
