Best father son first time fishing trip together on a lake
Before the trip, Captain Shawn called multiple times to let me know exactly where we should meet, when he felt fish would be more active, and which lake would he recommend. He helped with getting directions as which fishing license is needed, what to wear, and what to bring with us. When my son and I showed up to the lake, we felt we were prepared like seasoned pros for the adventure ahead. Fom the getgo, Captain built a great rapport with my son, and my son loved being able to ask any question he had, and share his own life eperiences with the Captain. We got to our first destination with a few minute speed ride, wind blowing through our hair at the picturesque Lake Wallenpaupack. We started our journey at 11 am, and it seemed to be geat time to get a lot of bites. During the trip, we caught three small mouth Bass, two large mouth Bass, and an incredible Northern Pike which was absolutely spectacular. During this trip, my son got to try different fishing methods, learned how to cast and also learned about the things to look for to find good fish. Both my son and I would love to go out again with Captain Shawn in the upcoming months. I am very appreciative of him making our first son adventure so memorable.
