Too rough to fish
I emailed the captain the day before the trip and asked him again prior to going out if the wind and waves were going to be an issue for fishing. He said no problem. We went out, wife got sick, came in early. Being an avid fisherman and boat captain myself, I knew that as soon as we cleared the harbor and got out into deeper water the trip was not going to end well. The boat seemed well equipped and the captain and deckhand seemed nice although was a lot of dialogue. Was the captain was being honest with me or did he just take advantage of us so he could make the money. I have really no idea on their fishing capabilities because we only spent maybe an hour and a half of fishing. So do I recommend this charter or not? I have to say no only based on the fact that we should have rescheduled the trip for another day when the conditions were more amenable to an enjoyable outing.

Thanks for taking the time to review your trip Brad Although you did check in with us the day prior to your trip, the sea conditions on todays charter were not unfavourable for us to fish This weather is very typical for this time of the year, and sea conditions here are rarely ever flat calm We fish on the Caribbean Sea side of the island which is the calmest, and we were not the only fishing boat that went out today Unfortunately your wife did get seasick and you ended the charter early The Captain does not take advantage of our guests - some are just better able to handle the sea conditions than others
