Sturgeon trip
Finally made the move to take a trip with Deadliest Kast and Captain Steve. I’d been out trying to find a sturgeon on my own from shore in a few places but never hooked into one. He immediately put us on fish with a hookup in the first 10 mins. He gave us the info and tools we needed to make it happen. We ended up with three keepers (first for all three of us) with a 4th that got to the boat. I took a lot of great info with me to go along with the experience. The boat was nice and plenty comfortable for 4 of us on the trip… the gear all worked well and we had no issues with it. He was there when he said he would be and helped filet everything, plus gave us advice on cooking it. I had been thinking about booking with him for 2 or 3 years and even reached out awhile ago to ask about the price. I should have just pulled the trigger sooner. I can’t imagine every trip will go like this but the dude will absolutely put you on fish and you will learn from the experience if you’re looking for it. If you’re debating about booking a trip with him, my advice would be just pull the trigger and book it if you can get a spot. I’ll definitely be going for another one.
