Captain Neil had us on the fish minutes after leaving the dock. Caught multiple Cobia that were released, but we brought home a 52”, 40 pounder that put up a great fight. 2nd trip with Top Dog. Captain and crew were great! Nice chill trip. Tried a few options for catching different fish. Caught a nice Cobia for dinner. Would recommend for families. Nice air conditioned area for taking a break from the sun. Bring water/drinks, sunscreen and snacks. Captain fillets your fish at the end!
Captain Neil and mate Caleb were very gracious and the boat is truly wonderful with a nice air conditioned cabin when you need to get out of the sun. That was helpful since we only caught one large cobia during our 4 hour trip. Not the captain’s fault but I should have asked if the kids could do some casting to keep them interested. We spent most of the trip trolling but nothing was biting that day. Still a beautiful day on the water.
Capt. Neil and his mate were quite personable, the boat is nice, no idea about their fishing skills/abilities and handling of the catch afterwards because we didn't catch any fish!! It was a half day trip, partially overcast and to his credit Capt Neil did move around to multiple spots trying to find fish.
