Sligo Sportfishing 

You never know what to expect with all the conflicting fishing reports, but these guys PUT YOU ON FISH. This was our first time doing striper fishing on a charter boat - and let me tell you - this trip exceeded all expectations. The ship was very clean and the captain and first mate were excellent. The inside of the cabin is spacious and kept us warm while we were sailing to the right spot. These guys put us on fish within the first 30 minutes and we limited the boat on keeper fish by 9am! We caught 30 total! I would hands down recommend this boat and crew to anyone interested in striper fishing!

Got us on the fish. Trolled a lot to fill the boat, but still had a great time reeling them in. Captain and first mate were great guys. Would recommend.

I booked with Sligo Sport Fishing after reading reviews. They were awesome from start to finish. Our original date to go out was questionable as far as weather. The owner Capt Anthony was quick to find new dates and kept in touch with me as far as his thoughts on the fishing and weather. 5/22/24 was the date we selected and it couldn’t have been better. We had the pleasure of Captain KC and mate Kenny. What a great combo. We were on the fish from start to finish. They were sure to make sure everyone was having a great time. I booked the 6-hour fishing trip for my husband’s birthday. Captain Anthony was quick to respond to any questions that I had as I had never done this before. We had a great time fishing. We caught a ton of fish. The Captain and his first mate were very knowledgeable of the fish we were catching, and the technique to catch them, and seemed to know their way around the water. They were quick to get the fish off of our line and rebait it for us. The boat was beautiful. We will be booking another trip with them next year, hopefully a longer one.

We had a great trip. Captain Anthony put us right on the sea bass and we were catching doubles as fast as we could get to the bottom. I soon realized the little ones liked the clams, so switched to 6” Gulp grub tails to target the bigger fish. We limited out fairly quickly on sea bass and caught four ling as well. We spent the rest of the time drifting for fluke. Slow for fluke with a lot of shorts. The mate, Kenny, was fishing with us, but was still quick to get our fish off the line and rebait as needed. I will definitely book with this boat again.

Awesome experience with a great Captain Kacey and first mate Jay. Definitely going to book another trip with these guys. The boat was big and comfortable and the crew did an awesome job. Put us on the fish for some great memorable moments.

Had a wonderful day of fishing with my son and a good friend on the Sligo. Caught a number of monster bass which were all released to grow bigger for the next angler. Captain knows the waters and the mate worked hard to keep us catching fish. Can't ask for more! We highly recommend them.

We had a fantastic trip with Captain Anthony and Mate Anthony! We went out for half a day and reeled in 18 fish! The last one was crazy! The crew knew we had something good on the line and it was my turn to reel one in, well, the reel froze up! No worries! Mate Anthony jumps in and starts HAND REELING! That's pulling the line in hand over hand! While he does that the Captain comes down and splices the line onto another reel! He then hands me back the rod and I finish reeling in the fish and what do you think it was? A 35" BLUE FIN TUNA! And boy was he delicious! I can't say enough about how amazing the trip was. We'll be back! Thanks!
