Även om han bara kör fiskecharter från april till oktober, fiskar kapten Matt i Gulfen av Maine året runt och fångar allt som vattnet har att erbjuda. Efter 35 år av detta kommer han alltid att kunna peka ut var fisken befinner sig och lära dig det bästa sättet att få upp den ur vattnet.
Under dagen blir du en del av besättningen på Meredith Jean. Hon är en klassisk 35' North Shore – ett mycket säkert, bekvämt och sjödugligt fartyg. Driven av en 350 HK Isuzu-motor och utrustad med all elektronisk och säkerhetsutrustning du kan tänka dig, kommer den här båten att förse dig med alla verktyg som behövs för en produktiv dag till havs. Båtens kapacitet är 6 gäster, exklusive besättning, som alla kan fiska samtidigt. På tonfiskturer är kapaciteten begränsad till 4 gäster. Båten har även en privat toalett.
På alla fiskecharter-turer får du förstklassig Penn-utrustning. Beroende på turen och den fisk du riktar in dig på kan du använda antingen levande eller konstgjort bete. I båda fallen får du det bete du behöver. Levande bete fångas vanligtvis i början av turen, och beten som makrill och mussla som du kommer att använda för tonfiskfiske och djuphavsfiske anskaffas innan turen.
Inkluderat i priset är även ditt fiskekort, vilket innebär att allt du behöver ta med dig är en kylväska med valfri mat och dryck, solskydd utan aerosolspray och dina solglasögon. Observera att däcksmatrosen arbetar för dricks, och 15% är brukligt.

Captain Matt knows these waters perfectly and put us right on the fish, ensuring everyone in the family caught something exciting. Cody was fantastic as the deckhand—incredibly helpful, patient, and great with the family. He kept the gear ready and shared awesome tips that made a huge difference. The boat was clean, safe, and fully equipped for a perfect day on the water. If you are looking for an amazing charter experience in Gloucester, we cannot recommend Captain Matt and Cody highly enough! We will definitely be back.

It was a chilly day and the groundfishing was slow, but the crew was excellent. They were friendly, helpful, and kept the trip enjoyable. We also checked lobster traps during the trip and were able to bring some lobsters home, which was a great part of the experience. I’d definitely recommend the trip and would go again.

5 timmar em den June 28, 2024 • 4 vuxnaI took my three teenage boys on their first offshore fishing trip. Captain Mathew and First Mate Trevor were awesome! They knew just where the fish were. Captain Mathew gave us the option to stop and catch live bait fish on the way out. My boys got a kick out of catching multiple mackerel on the same rig at the same time. Then we went out to the deep waters and caught lots of haddock, cod, and a few other species. It was a great day and my boys really appreciated it. We brought home plenty of fish. The only thing I would do differently next time is go for a whole day instead of half.

We had a great day. Trevor did everything he could to keep us on fish. we caught five haddock, a crazy amount of redfish and a handful of other varieties that we didn’t keep because of the season. Perfect weather added to a perfect day. Trevor cleaned and filleted our catches, shared with us his knowledge of the local area and numerous tips on fishing. Can’t wait to book another trip.
