Knotty Hooker Charters – Reel Hooker 

The crew was very accomodating. We trolled and bottom fished. Species caught include: - Yellow Tail - Mutton Snapper - Spanish Mackeral - King Mackeral - Barracuda - Bonita When lunch arrived, the deckhand filleted a spanish that was caught and made us fresh civeche. This was accompanied with Sandwiches and chips as well. All of us will be sore tomorrow. When we come back, I will 100% choose this boat again. Thank you for the a great day of fishing!

The captain and crew were first rate! very welcoming and extremely hard working! We caught Sailfish barracuda and Kings. it was a great trip and i would recommend this group to anyone!

Today was my 4th or 5th trip out of Pto Aventuras and definitely high on the quality list. Communication with Gary (Owner) and Captain Eduardo was clear and concise from booking through the morning of the trip. Eduardo & crew were loaded, rigged and ready to go with the high-frequency angler energy that makes any day a great day of fishing regardless of the outcome. Pair that with a very productive morning of Yucatán Platform fishing during the tail end of the summer season and you’ve got a 5 star operation that 10/10 would recommend. We booked a 4 hr trip (8AM -12PM). Boated a Sailfish + gaffed 5 decent sized Mahi in 3 hrs and then we gladly decided to siesta & swim for the last hour. Eduardo & crew fileted the 1 bailer sized Mahi that we caught & prepared fresh civeche for us while we swam in beautiful sargassum-free waters inside of the Pto Aventuras jettys. Great experience and excellent value. Thank you gentleman…we’ll be back!!!

We Went fishing early March. The bite is slow. This time of year is may is a better time to book

My primary interest was Sailfish but they weren’t cooperating. We did boat a few Mahi Mahi with one bull. The crew kept the bait clear of all the seaweed and fresh. Eduardo tried his best to find the Sailfish. I fished with other boats at Puerto Adventuras to compare to and definitely would recommend The knotty Hooker crew.

Booked the knotty hookers for 4 hours (8am-noon) and was not disappointed. We were a group of 7 friends and the boat was spacious for us and the equipment was great. The crew was clearly very experienced with fishing, and were doing everything they could to help us get a catch. We ended up pulling up a Wahoo onto the boat, which we took home and made plenty of delicious fish tacos with. We also had a huge sailfish on the line, saw it jump out of the water 3 or 4 times before it ended up getting away. Great experience, very friendly crew, definitely recommend!

The crew were outstanding!!! Polite, helpful, and tirelessly worked for us to make our day absolutely AMAZING!!! Best deep sea fishing experience of my life. They do not disappoint!!! Book your trip with these guys if you want to catch a lot of fish.

Captain Freddy and crew were excellent. It seemed like only five minutes into the trip we already had gear in the water and a few minutes after that our first fish in the box. We hooked four different types of fish and landed three of the four. Landed one huge Marlin! Overall awesome day on the water, and would recommend these guys to anyone who wants to actually catch fish. 5 stars all around.

Captain Freddy was easy to get in touch with prior to the charter with an email and a text message. The dock was only 5 minutes from the resort, which was super convenient. When we arrived at the dock there wasn’t a clear sign or directions on where to exactly meet up with the boat. We did meet a gentleman that helped us out and showed us where to meet-up with the Reel Hooker. The Captain and two deck hands had everything setup and ready for us to go trolling as soon as we stepped on the boat. My group consisted of 5 kids (9, 9, 11, 14 & 15) and 3 adults. This was our guys day out while on vacation. As soon as we got out of the canal and on the open water it was pretty rough going. 40 minutes into it 3 of the kids were sea sick. Captain Freddy was very understanding and brought us back to the dock. On our way back we landed a huge sail fish that one of the boys got to reel in. The boat was a little crowded with 8 of us and the crew in the beginning. There was plenty of water, soda and beer as well as they made us some very interesting dishes to snack on, shrimp ceviche was one of them. The crew was very hard working and proved their expertise to show us a great time. To anyone looking for a great fishing experience I would definitely recommend doing this Charter.
