Here We Go Sport Fishing 

We really had the best time with Captain Matt and his son Kyle. We took our boys (5 and 9) and it couldn’t have been a more perfect set up. The boat was comfortable for us all, and they were more than accommodating for us. We caught Halibut and Striped Bass — and even a shark! Our boys loved it sooo much and everyone had smiles on their faces all day. It’s makes the experience so much better when you are with good company for things like this. We can’t wait to go back and book with Captain Matt again. My youngest son even told him before we left “this was the best day ever!” They really did great to keep these boys involved as much as possible in the whole experience (while keeping us all safe too, which matters a lot to me!). You’ll make no mistake booking with Here We Go Sportfishing!

Capt Matt was great. My friend and I love fishing back in the Florida Keys, and we couldnt have asked for a better introduction to PNW fishing than Matt. He was incredibly accommodating and was having just as much fun as we were! He was also very proactive when he noticed a spot wasnt producing, moving us asap! We left with fish, but even if we got skunked, Matt's demeanor made the trip fun! Thanks Matt!

We took our son on this trip for his 13th birthday. On the way home he kept saying this was the best birthday ever! He was excited about all the fish we caught but the first thing he told his friends about were the sharks. He got to touch a shark and didn’t loose a finger! Captain Matt is great. Very knowledgeable and I only mentioned one time that it was our son’s birthday in a message and Captain Matt remembered to wish him a happy birthday and gave him a great time. We will see you again Captain Matt!

Matt took us out sturgeon fishing in the delta on Jan. 1st for my birthday and I had the best day fishing !!! I've been on quite a few charters and I've not met a more hospitable and humble captain, not ever. His boat is nice all his equipment is top notch and he knows what he's doing. He is also fun to talk to. It never got awkward or boring, not for a second. I recommend him 100% and can't wait to go again! Thanks Matt! 👍👍👍

Booked this trip as a Christmas gift for my Little brother to get a chance to go out on a charter and possibly feel that TUG you get from a Sturgeon.. although he didn’t get a BIG one, Captain Matt made sure to put us on enough fish to land him a decent size non keeper lol as well as myself of course. The lil guy ended the day with a keeper stripper aswell!! For a slow day and tough bite Captain Matt over exceeded his expectations with hospitality, amazing service, guidance, knowledge and conversation. Definitely will be back and recommend to anyone looking for a good time on the water!!!

To celebrate my birthday, I booked an all day fishing trip with Captain Matt and some of my closest friends. I had never been on a chartered fishing trip..... so I had no idea what to expect. The boat was a lot bigger than I was expecting and had plenty of room for us to keep dry during the first hour while it was raining. We caught halibut, stripers, and leopard sharks. Captain Matt was very good at informing us he would do as little or as much as we were comfortable with. He is very like able and our small talk made the day go by very quickly. I think everyone was a little hesitant to try things since we were all novice fishermen, but once we warmed up everyone got really into baiting and setting our own lines. The fish were biting and we caught some big ones. There were some short periods when the fish weren't biting so Captain Matt called his friends to find out where the fish were at and put us right back on them. Captain Matt even filleted our fish for us on the dock so we could cook them as soon as we got home. My friends and I were all blown away by how much fun we had on this trip. It beat all of our expectations. I plan on booking Captain Matt again for another trip in the winter to catch sturgeon. Thank you for being a great Captain!

Great reviews but still you never know. But as advertised the captain and crew were top notch! Very helpful, patient, and just a fun group to hang out with for the day! Put us on some good fishing smiles all around especially the kids! Couldn’t ask for a better day!! Thank you for the life long memory!!

Event hough the weather would not cooperate, Capt Matt made this a great trip. We only caught one small Sturgeon and 2 stripe bass. However, I have never seen a captain work so hard to get us fish. He did everything he could with the conditions. Thank you so much Matt for the extraordinary service and care. We will definitely fish with you again and you have my highest reccomendation. Also, the breakfast burritos from your wife were amazing.

Captain Matt at Here We Go Sport Fishing is awesome we had an amazing time on his boat. He is super knowledgeable about fishing and the bay. He explains everything really well and definitely let’s you know when it’s time to reel in. It was like having another fishing buddy on the trip. One last thing, thanks to his wife for the amazing breakfast tacos they were delicious. We are for sure going to book with him again.
