Kapten Gerald välkomnar barn ombord, så få ut dem från skärmarna och ut på vattnet! Barn måste bära flytväst, så ta reda på om lämplig storlek finns tillgänglig ombord. Kunder uppmanas att ta med snacks för att hålla energin uppe mitt under turen!
Din tur börjar ombord på en 33-fots Tiara-kryssare med plats för 4 passagerare. 2 ytterligare passagerare är välkomna mot en extra avgift. Båten har downriggers och alla nödvändiga redskap som en riktig fiskebåt behöver. Det finns en toalett ombord för din bekvämlighet. Spön, rullar och utrustning väntar på dig, tillsammans med beten.
Du får hjälp av en styrman för att hitta fisken. Styrmän arbetar hårt för att göra din tur lyckad, så ett dricks på 10–20% är brukligt.
Innan du kliver ombord behöver alla i din grupp köpa ett lokalt fisketillstånd. Denna information finns vanligtvis tillgänglig online, eller så kan du fråga kaptenen.
Glöm inte att ta med solglasögon, solskydd (ej spray) och vatten på flaska. Om du vill ta med andra drycker, fråga bara. Alkohol är tillåtet i måttliga mängder, men försök att undvika starksprit samt glasflaskor.

As complete rookies, we lost our first four fish, but thanks to their patient coaching and encouragement, we landed the next five. The highlight of the trip was a 26.2 pound king salmon, and we also caught a beautiful lake trout. At the end of the trip, they professionally filleted our catch and packaged everything in Ziploc bags, so it was easy to bring home. Their knowledge, professionalism, and friendly attitude made the experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for a great day on the water with a crew that truly cares, we highly recommend Captain Kent and his wife.

The fishing was icing on the cake. Meeting up with Gerald and heading out to the lake started off great. Gerald has a ton of experience on Lake Ontario and fishing. The first mate was a very knowledgeable person and got things set every fast. The boat was great, Gerald did inform me before we went out the it might be a bumming ride, turn out to be nice. I was the first to catch a fish then my oldest and then my youngest landed one but it came off. Gerald knowledge of the lake kept us going over fish but they weren’t biting for some reason. That’s why they call it fishing and not catching. Over all it was a great experience and me and the boys had an awesome time. I will be setting up another fishing trip with Gerald later on. I highly recommend the Rod Benders boat for a great experience and a fun time. Looking forward another time out on the lake with the Captain and first mate of the Rod Benders fishing charter.

We have basically zero experience fishing except for catching small fish from a dock. Captain Gerry and First Mate Tara were incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and fun to be around. They made our first offshore fishing trip a truly memorable experience. We will definitely be rebooking again soon! I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested.

Captian targeted king salmon as I asked and we caught some nice kings and steelhead, they really know their stuff and how to provide a good memorable trip, I highly recommend Rod Bender charters!
