Pichel Fishing Tour 

Our fishing trip with Eymhus was absolutely incredible! From the moment we headed out, he worked hard to get us on the fish and made the entire experience fun and memorable. We caught 2 yellowfin tuna and 2 mahi-mahi, which was beyond what we hoped for! The wildlife made the trip even more special. We saw multiple sea turtles, a dolphin, flying fish, and lots of yellow-bellied sea snake 😳 it felt like a National Geographic adventure. Eymhus was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly knows these waters. Whether you’re an experienced angler or it’s your first time fishing, I highly recommend booking a trip with him! Vi startede med at fange nogle skipjack tun, og senere fik vi et par hug, men derefter blev det lidt stille. Vi prøvede derfor at jigge lidt, og da vi havde omkring 20 minutter tilbage, valgte vi at begynde at trolle igen. Kort efter huggede en yellowfin tun. Selvom tiden egentlig var gået, ville kaptajnen gerne hjælpe mig med at fange en sailfish, så vi fortsatte med at trolle på vej ind mod land. Det endte med, at vi fangede en stor sailfish — en perfekt afslutning på turen! Besætningen var utrolig hjælpsomme, især med at guide min partner og vise hende, hvordan man gjorde. Vi havde begge en helt fantastisk oplevelse og kan varmt anbefale denne chartertur!

If you’re looking for an unforgettable fishing trip, go with Captain Eymhus — seriously. My girlfriend and I went out with him from 11–5, and it was the highlight of our trip. We trolled and jigged our way to three yellowfin tunas and a massive amberjack, and the whole experience was nonstop excitement. Eymhus isn’t just a great captain — he’s the kind of guy who makes you feel like you’re fishing with an old friend. Super knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about what he does. We learned a ton, laughed a lot, and made memories we’ll never forget

10/10 experience! Highly recommend! First thing we did in Tama was get this fishing Charter, and had a great time with Emyhus and Juan, caught 3 huge yellowfin Tuna and a bunch of Blackfin Tuna. Had some of the strongest fights of my life on that rod. Super fun, super chill, had fresh poke the rest of the trip which saved on food costs. I recommend booking with Emyhus the famous! Pura Vida!

My 6-year-old daughter and I had an unforgettable morning on the water with Captain Eymhus and First Mate Juan. We launched from the beach in Tamarindo around 7AM aboard the Pichel - I’ll admit I was a little nervous about the smaller boat, but Eymhus put me at ease immediately. When he learned we had a young one on board, he made a thoughtful call to stay within 6 miles of shore. He even mentioned he had a 13-year-old daughter of his own. Once we cleared the national park boundary about ~3 miles out, we dropped lines and began trolling the reef. For the next four hours, Eymhus and Juan worked tirelessly - swapping lures, monitoring the radio, reading the water - all while making sure my daughter was having the time of her life. They pointed out flying manta rays and dolphins, expertly navigated the wake from larger boats, and kept the mood fun and engaging throughout. A little wind-driven spray was the only reminder we were at sea. With just 15 minutes left before we planned to head in, magic happened. A sailfish appeared behind our lines. Eymhus calmly coaxed it into striking, and ten minutes later we were celebrating a landed sailfish on the near the deck. The boat erupted. Watching my daughter’s face in that moment is something I’ll never forget. If you’re visiting Tamarindo and debating whether to book an authentic fishing trip that won't break the bank - especially with kids - stop debating. Captain Eymhus and Juan delivered a world-class experience. Highly recommend.​​​​

Henry was a very trustworthy and confident local fisherman and worked really hard to get us on the fish on a tricky day weather wise. the pelagics werent biting so we had a food jigging session and my son and I are having ceviche and rainbow runner for dinner at our hotel. gracias henry.

Me and my wife had a great time fishing with Eymhus. We caught 2 sailfish and a bunch of yellowfin within an hour. Would highly recommend if you want to actually catch fish. 10/10

We had a great trip! First time in Costa Rica and wanted a local guide to avoid the large boat money and still benin fish. We fished the same areas as the big boats did and we were the only ones to catch fish. We had 2 marlin on, caught 3 skipjack, 2 dog tooth tuna and 2 yellow fin tuna. Would highy recommend this boat.

Captain Amos was a very fun and a go getter. There were many boats in the water that day but his pischel boat surpassed all of them. we caught many fish including a big shark. Fishing trip was fun, such a CR vibe ill come back for my sailfish.

On this fishing trip we caught Dr Tuna, 3 big Skipjack Tuna, and a massive Sailfish over 5 ft long. Overall everybody should go on this fishing trip to have a good time.
