Vi är också hem för andra arter och kaptenen och besättningen är alltid villiga att tillgodose eventuella önskemål du kan ha för att rikta in dig på en specifik art.

Alla erfarenhetsnivåer är välkomna eftersom vi går igenom en fullständig säkerhetsgenomgång och handledning om hur fisken biter och hur man korrekt använder en kampstol. Familjer är alltid välkomna och vi älskar att dela fiskeerfarenheter med barn. För vissa unga fiskare kan det vara en lång dag på en båt, så föräldrar uppmanas att ha det i åtanke eller ring oss med eventuella frågor. Om du inte har en flytväst i barnstorlek finns det en ombord. På dessa turer kan du förvänta dig att trolling med lätt eller tung utrustning.
En styrman kommer att finnas där för att se till att allt går smidigt. Styrmän arbetar ofta för dricks och det är kutym att ge dem 20% i dricks. Du kan inte göra fel när du tar med solglasögon, en hatt och solskyddskräm (ej spray). Flaskvatten och lätta snacks ingår. Alkohol är tillåtet i måttliga mängder, så länge du undviker starksprit och glasflaskor.

From booking the trip to getting back to the dock, everything was easy and well organized. They were upfront from the beginning about it being a slower fishing season, which we really appreciated because it helped us set our expectations. They were also super communicative and accommodating, especially when we decided to add two family members to the trip at the last minute. We had a pretty slow start, but about four hours in we hooked a 100-pound yellowfin. They also found a school of aku so our boys could reel in some fish too, which was such a fun bonus and made the trip even more special for our family. Captain Dan and Logan were awesome! They were extremely knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating, and you could genuinely tell they wanted us to catch fish just as much as we did. They worked hard to give us the best experience possible, and we really appreciated it. We had an absolute blast and would 100% recommend this charter! We’ll definitely be booking with them again next time we’re in Hawaii!

The 2nd up was his dad and he caught his first Blue Marlin (roughly 200 lbs). 3rd up was my wife, she battled 2 shark bits but came up dry. I was the 4th at bat and enjoyed watching the other 3 have a good time. The weather was perfect and Captain Dan and first mate Logan made it an even better experience. They answered many randoms questions and gave us lots of good ideas for other things to do on the island. The boat was very nice and clean as well. We got to see a few whales and tuna. We didn’t catch anything on our trip but Dan and Logan definitely tried their best and taught us a lot about Hawaii sport fishing.

We had an outstanding day with Rooster and Captain Dan. These guys were on time and ready to go when we arrived, and they wanted to catch Blue marlin as much as we did - if not more. Very few boats reported catching fish, so after 5 hours without any bites, we decided to head back to the marina, and just as we were about to go in, we caught a 320lb blue marlin. It was amazing!!! To make things even better, Rooster had a camera with a telephoto lens, so he got great shots of the fish jumping out of the water.

Private Fishing Charter den May 14, 2025 • 1 vuxenWe headed out into the deep waters off Kona’s coast, and before long, we had a strike and it was a good one. After a solid fight, we landed a gorgeous Ono (wahoo)! We also got to encounter wildlife such as pilot whales ,hawaiian spinner dolphins, and even a iwa bird. The crew was just as excited as we were and helped us every step of the way. We had Captain Dan and Captain Corey who provided excellent customer service they also cleaned and filleted the fish once we got back and we even got tips on how to cook it! The boat was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a successful day of fishing This is not my first trip with Reel Escapes and it will definitely not be my last. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just out for fun, I highly recommend this charter if you’re in Kailua Kona.

Captain Dan and Logan were awesome! communication was great. They were very transparent ahead of time about current fishing conditions and catch rates which we really appreciated. especially right after LaLa. We decided it was worth trying. They hustled all day! Switching out gear, circling areas and trying different techniques. They put in the effort! The boat is awesome. comfortable air conditioned cabin. great table to play games at and plenty of space for naps. No fish, but the ocean isn’t a vending machine. It was a great day, we would definitely book with them again!

Watching Joshua catch his **first ocean fish—a short-billed spearfish—**was incredibly special, and then following that up with Jon's first blue marlin at around 200 pounds made for an unforgettable trip. While the sharks managed to get the better of Kristin's fish this time, that's all part of the adventure when fishing in Kona's waters! Captain Dan and Deckhand Logan were super accommodating to our foursome! We did an 8 hour excursion on the A'u Nui and were excited with a couple of catches that put up the good fight! The charter boat itself was ideal with plenty of seating in and out~ AC , kitchen area and a nice bathroom! I would highly encourage this charter to anyone looking for a great time in Kona!
