Fiske har varit min grej sedan jag var barn på Juno Pier i södra Florida. Skaffade min egen båt, började utforska, och gick sedan med i flottan vid 21 års ålder som flygtekniker. Tillbringade sex fantastiska år i Hawaii - fisket var otroligt, och utsikten var inte heller att klaga på. Nu är jag i Jacksonville, och det finns en fisk med ditt namn på den, och Salty Goat Fishing Company hjälper dig att fånga den!
Beroende på årstid kan du få napp på Red Snapper, Kungsmakrill, Cobia, Svartfenad tonisk, Gray Triggerfish, Vermilion Snapper, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Tarpon, Redfish, Fårhuvudfisk, och vad annat som tar betet. På dessa turer är det vanligt att ankra med trollingmotorn, driva och bottenfiska med lätt eller tung utrustning.
Kapten Andrew tror på att lära barn att fiska medan de är unga, så ta gärna med hela familjen! Barn måste bära flytväst, så ta reda på om rätt storlek finns tillgänglig ombord. Glöm inte att ta med snacks så att alla håller sig glada och energifyllda!
Kapten Andrew tar dig ombord på en 26' Seavee med plats för 4 passagerare. Den kommer med alla nödvändigheter. Din kapten tillhandahåller spön och rullar, tillsammans med beten. Levande bete eller dött bete ingår, men se till att fråga om det så att du vet om du kommer att fånga det själv.
Fischecharterbåten täcker ditt fiskelicens, så du kan köra dit och gå ombord utan krångel! Tänk på att vissa arter kan ha särskilda regler eller begränsade säsonger. Fråga bara och din kapten kan berätta mer.
Några nödvändigheter att ta med är solskydd (ej spray), en hatt, flaskvatten och solglasögon. Alkohol är tillåtet i måttliga mängder, så länge du undviker starksprit samt glasflaskor.

His knowledge of the area and fishing techniques really showed, and his sense of humor kept the trip fun and relaxed the whole time. Andrew truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience—and it paid off! We caught the most beautiful snappers and had an unforgettable time on the water. After reading reviews, we knew we wanted to book! Boy oh boy were we on the sharks. While we didn’t get any in the boat, it was neat and thrilling! There were plenty of fish too, but the sharks got them pretty quick. Captain Andrew was great company, very knowledgeable, and the space was very clean. 10/10 will be booking with him again!

We caught over 10 big fish within just an hour of fishing. Some of our group was not so experienced with fishing, but Captain Drew was helpful, patient, and didn’t mind lending a hand or giving tips. We will definitely be coming back to fish with the Salty Goat and Captain Drew!

Things were a little slow at first, so the captain took us farther out to target some other species. We ended up catching so many snapper, sharks, and baitfish that I started saying, “Oh man, another big fish… that sucks!” Needless to say, it turned into a fantastic trip. The captain did everything he could to put us on fish, and it showed. We all had a great time and would 100% go back out with him again.

Hooked into a really nice Tarpon in under a minute of bait hitting the water. 100 pounder. caught 3 more and some really decent Bull Reds . Could have caught more but got wore out a bit . We went underway in good weather, but right as we got to the end of the waterway into the ocean the wind picked up, so we settled for fishing by a rock reef for a while. The wind picked up a lot and a storm began to blow in. This wasn't forecasted and Drew mentioned he'd have canceled had it been in the forecast. We headed back towards the dock and he offered to take us upstream to an inner-coastal waterway where there'd be less turbulence. We fished there for a while and got to boat back to the dock in an epic downpour. Was a fun 4 hours; we caught what he said was the 'biggest toad fish I've ever seen' and a bunch of small stuff. Drew gave us a catch from the morning so we didn't walk away empty handed, and it made for great fish tacos. 10/10 would do again.
