Major Tom Adventures 

We had a really good afternoon out on the water with Hamish the skipper on Major Tom. Even though the boat was not fully booked out he still sailed - so we had a personal experience that other boats may not have run. Hamish was really helpful with the fishing tackle, baiting up and then cleaning and filleting our catch for taking home. Major Tom is nice boat with plenty of space to fish from and spread out on the trip out to the fishing grounds. Will certainly be heading back for a trip, thank you,

Without question, the best fishing charter I’ve ever been on! I’ve been fishing for 40 years, but chose to leave my own boat today and take a charter with ones of NZs most respected and well-known skippers, for a chance to learn and see how the pro’s do it. Well, WOW! Apart from Kingfish thick and fast from the first drop, the boat was spacious and comfortable, the gear was more than adequate, and the skipper Geoff and first mate, Paul were hospitable, generous with their phenomenal knowledge and great people to spend the day with. I will DEFINITELY book their services again next time I’m in the Bay of Islands. I could not recommend more highly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon fishing. Hamish and his brother, James who was helping out that day, could not have made the experience any better. Great help with our daughter, full of energy and keen to get a good catch. I highly recommend it!

It was my first time fishing and all of my friends (and myself) had a great time on Major Tom. The captain and Paul gave us a fantastic experience as well as the dog, puppy. I would like to recommend all those who read this to try. For me, it was definitely 5 stars experience out of 5. Thank you!

This was a great day we arrived for the boat trip at 6.30 in the morning and caught our live bait then once that was done we went to find our targeted fish which was kingfish after a couple of different locations that did not get any luck with the kingfish we went to another spot and that was were we had an awesome time catching plenty of kingis. Both the captain and his first mate were excellent we had 6 people on the boat and were able to alternate easily we we helped and guided the best way to catch what we wanted and we are not novices in fishing. All our fish was fillleted and bag for us by the time we got back to the wharf. I would highly recommend major tom 2 charters geoff and paul are excellent fishermen

Awesome day out and heaps of snapper to take home too. Geoff and Paul were real nice to take us out on Boxing Day too.

We had the most fun with Geoff and Paul out on "major tom ll" They're professional to a tee, with so much knowledge and enthusiasm. We took my nephew Luka (4 yrs old) also and they were great with him.- boy he talked the whole time, and now wants to go out on Geoff's boat to catch a Marlin!
