We did catch 7 or 8 barracuda, which was fun. From the advertisement, we felt that we might get a catch that we could eat or have a restaurant prepare for us. We only were able to fish for barracuda (unedible). We asked the captain if we could fish for something that we could eat…but just got a no. Felt it was a pretty expensive trip for nothing to take with us (or the experience of watching them clean our catch).

My girlfriend and I booked the boat for the day. We really had a great day. Captain Luis put us on fish almost immediately when we began fishing. 2 sailfish and over 10 bonita. even if we wouldnt have caight fish, Luis and his mates were great! definitely recommend Keen - M!

Captain and crew tried their best for Sailfish, conditions were not good.. got a few trigger fish, what can you do? Would reccomend, just try and predict the weather snd moon phases lol!

We booked an 8 hr trip, and the first fish hooked up was a sailfish! My son let his best friend reel in the first fish, and he may have been regretting it a bit after seeing the size of one of his bucket list fish. However, the crew worked tirelessly to keep fresh bait in the water, and incredibly, a few hours later, my son landed a large sailfish of his own. Two in one trip? Amazing! In between those trophies, we reeled in 5 gorgeous Mahi and about a dozen Bonita. Having been on multiple deep sea fishing charters in various countries throughout the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico and Australia. This was by far the most action-packed trip we’ve been on. And we didn’t do any bottom fishing, which is a bonus if you’ve already done that plenty. Trolling for big game fish is unlike anything else. Although no charter will guarantee that you will catch fish (remember it’s called fishing not catching), this captain and crew worked non-stop. I don’t think the boat ever sat still, and the crew manned the 4-6 rods that were in the water at any given time like a well-choreographed dance. They also provided drinks, snacks and tasty sandwiches, which was nice since we had taken a ferry over to the island from our resort in Costa Mujeres. Something I wish I would have paid attention to is the fact that we had to scramble to get transportation to Isla Mujeres. We ended up booking an uber to the ferry port (Puerto Juarez), then buying ferry passes. It’s about a 30 min ferry ride, but we sat on the upper uncovered deck and enjoyed the breeze. On the way back, there was some free entertainment on the ferry ride from a guy with an acoustic guitar that sang and played for everyone. The ferry is convenient because it runs every 30 mins all day long starting at I believe 6:00.

Great crew. Aet the rig the fastest I have ever seen. They really know what they are doing to catch fish. We had a sea sick passenger that they were very kind to and helped as they could. We had just arrived to town and only at the dock found out that the day before all boating on the island was shut down for high wind conditions. It was still very windy and in my past experiences, the charter would have recommended trying another time..4-8’ swells the whole trip. After we caught a couple, we asked to end early because it was a very rough experience.

Captain and crew were fantastic. Caught a sailfish and enough mahi and grouper to feed a family of 10 with leftovers. Highly recommend using Blue Ballyhoo restaurant to cook your catch. They will store it after it is prepped at the dock and make it into a delicious meal for a good price. Loved whole trip

Whoa, our fishing trip with Keen Fishing Charters on the Lilly M was absolutely insane! We had an epic time hauling in not one, but two Monster Sailfish, and a bunch of other awesome fish. These guys really know how to make fishing a blast! The crew was off-the-charts cool and totally knew their stuff. They showed us the ropes and gave us all the tips and tricks to reel in the big ones. We were on the edge of our seats, pumped with adrenaline, as we battled those massive Sailfish. It was like something straight out of an action movie! The Lilly M boat was like a floating paradise. It was spotless and super fancy, with all the top-notch gear we could dream of. We felt like fishing royalty, chilling out, and having a blast on the deck. The crew made sure we had everything we needed, and they were always there with a high-five and a cheer when we hooked a big catch. These guys were totally chill about our schedule. We were running behind, but they were all like, "No worries! We'll still make this trip the best ever!" They were super laid-back and made sure we didn't miss out on any of the excitement. It was awesome to see how much they cared about giving us an unforgettable time. To sum it up, Keen Fishing Charters on the Lilly M was a wild ride. We reeled in those Monster Sailfish like absolute bosses and caught some other amazing fish too. The crew was like a bunch of fishing rockstars, making sure we had a blast from start to finish. Captain, crew and boat were great! I went with 3 friends and we all caught plenty of fish! It was during low season and we still caught about 15 mahi mahi, a strawberry grouper, an amberjack, a porgy snapper and 2 giant trigger fish! After we were done fishing we went to the Blue Ballyhoo restaurant right at the dock and they cooked our catch a bunch of different way. It was delicious! I would definitely recommend these guys!

The mates were top shelf. The captain made the cruise in and out very calm considering coming back there was some swells. But he road them well not to have a rough return

My husband & I decided to book a last minute trip. After inquiring on the website, we got a response fairly quickly & were booked for the following morning. Anthony & his crew did an outstanding job given the conditions. They were sure to communicate to us, expectations & checked in several times during the trip to make sure we were still comfortable. A little background to this was that we knew we were going into stormy weather. We both just wanted the experience & got so much more than we could have asked for. The crew was very professional & knowledgeable & helped us pull in some good catches. The equipment & vessel were well cared for & that made it that much better. We also got snacks that were included in the trip & that was a nice touch. Once we returned, Anthony assisted us in getting our catch mounted with a credible company & then coordinated the how we wanted our fish filleted & cooking of our catch with his daughter at the attached restaurant. The merchandise store is quite cute as well. We came back later that afternoon & enjoyed our catch cooked anyway we chose. We tried several options & all were phenomenal. We can’t wait to return; hopefully with some little ones to show them the ways & catch another mount-worthy fish or 2.
