Captain lLou had us on the fish all trip! How awesome of a feeling to double up with your son on permit, corlbia and mangrove snapper just to name a few.! Thanks Lou & Aiden for a great day of fishing!!

    (4 hour trip- OFFSHORE)

Captain Stephen and first mate Clay were great!

we had somewhat iffy weather- captain Stephen communicated with us and even arranged a charter that avoided weather that we all could enjoy! We caught 11 fish and had it cooked up at Bubba Gumbos for a deliciois lunch! i would highly recommend Captain Stephen!

Cobia fishing is all about power, sight, and surprise. Cobia are prized game fish known for strong runs and stubborn fights. They often cruise near the surface or hang around wrecks, buoys, and channel markers. Anglers love them for the challenge, the visual strikes, and their excellent table quality.

You can target Cobia by sight casting, which means casting to fish you can see. They also respond well to bottom fishing near structure, slow trolling live baits, and working heavy jigs. Chumming, or spreading small pieces of bait to draw fish in, can help. Popular baits include live eels, crabs, and bait fish. Keep a pitch rod ready so you can cast fast when a fish appears.

Expect steady action and sudden excitement when a dark shape appears beside the boat. Cobia fight hard and may make long runs under the boat. This makes them fun for experienced anglers and doable for beginners with guidance. Bring polarized sunglasses to spot fish, sun protection, non-slip shoes, and a camera. Use strong but simple tackle, and listen to your captain on safe handling. If releasing fish, keep them in the water as much as possible and support their weight.

Before your trip, check local fishing regulations. Make sure you have the right fishing license or permit. Confirm current seasons, area rules, and harvest limits where you plan to fish. Regulations can change and may differ between nearby waters, so review the latest guidance from local authorities.
