What an awesome day out to sea with captain Devron and nirav, we had an awesome experience which will surely be remembered for years to come, I will definitely recommend hooked again fishing charters based on there patients with kids and those of us learning to fish, it was a over rall good day spent and this won't be our last once again I'd like to thank the skipper and crew for a day well spent.

Malabar Grouper fishing targets a powerful reef predator prized for its brute strength and firm, white meat. This thick-bodied Grouper lives around heavy structure and strikes with sudden force. Anglers chase it for the hard fight, the challenge of pulling fish from cover, and the chance at a memorable catch.

You can target Malabar Grouper with bottom fishing around reefs, wrecks, rocks, or mangroves. Live bait fish, cut bait, and squid work well. Vertical jigging with metal jigs also draws strikes near structure. Use heavy tackle, high-drag reels, braided main line, and an abrasion-resistant leader, which is a short, stronger section of line near the hook. A steady lift-and-wind approach helps turn the fish before it reaches cover.

Expect powerful hits and a short, intense first run toward the structure. Quick reactions and locked-down drags are key. This trip suits anglers who enjoy close-quarters battles and decisive hookups. Confident beginners do well with clear guidance. Early morning, late afternoon, and tide changes often bring more action. Bring sun protection, a hat, polarized sunglasses, snacks, and water. Many crews supply rods, tackle, and bait, but confirm what is included before you go.

Before your trip, check local rules for fishing licenses and permits. Regulations for seasons, size limits, and daily harvest vary by area and can change. Some waters may require release of larger breeders or have closed zones. Practice careful handling and consider using circle hooks to reduce deep hooking. When in doubt, ask your captain and follow local laws.
