Captain Keith McGlade is a US Coast Guard licensed captain with an easy going, down to earth attitude. He loves his work and has grown up catching and eating every edible creature he could find in the ocean. As well as being a charter captain, he also fishes commercially for Crab and Mullet in season. He is also a keen scuba/ free diver.

6 Timmars Tur – Upp till 6 Personer • 4 vuxna • 2 barnCaptain Keith was awesome! Great with kids, 9- and 10-year-old boys, with your typical attention span. He kept the fish coming and the boys loved it. Highly recommended and the comfort of being on a 34' boat with twin engines when running out 20 miles gives you a peace of mind. 10 out 10 would do it again! The six-hour trip time was perfect!

Red Snapper – Upp till 6 personer • 5 vuxnaCaptain Keith was amazing. He took us to several different spots and each produced keepers. We caught Ref Snappers, Grouper, and Lane Snappers. Exactly what we were looking for, minus the sharks… definitely would do it again…

Hungry fish
Jul 28, 2025 • Holmes Beach
We've had great fishing so far this summer. The Red Snapper season has been fantastic. We've been catching a lot of nice Red Snapper. The sharks have made it challenging, but thankfully there have been plenty of fish to get some nice ones through the gauntlet of sharks. Also, catches have included Red Grouper; Mahi; Cobia; Lane, Vermillion, and Mangrove Snappers; Porgy; Scamp; and many other species. Speaking of Mahi, this has been the best year for Mahi I've ever seen in our area.
This year we have an extended Red Snapper season, so there is plenty of time to get out there and catch some nice fish with us!

Red Grouper are on Fire
May 6, 2023 • Holmes Beach
The red grouper have been on fire. We've been catching a lot of large, meaty reds on our 6- and 8-hour trips. The lane and vermilion snappers have been very active closer in, with the occasional mangrove snapper, but it seems like the mangroves aren't in full swing yet. Although there are plenty of catch-and-release amberjacks, I've noticed an above average catch of almaco jacks, which are the smaller cousin of the amberjack, and don't go out of season.

Summer fishing great so far
Jul 14, 2016 • Holmes Beach
Had some great offshore trips this last week. The lane snapper are still biting. We're at the tail end of Kingfish season, but we're still catching them here and there. The Spanish mackerel are still plentiful. Got some red and gag grouper, and we hooked up on some hungry barracuda, which makes for some drag-pulling excitement. We also landed some hogfish using tiny hooks and light leader. Get out there and have some fun!

End of June fishing
Jun 30, 2016 • Holmes Beach
Last week was off the chain with Kingfish. Tuesday, we caught another smoker King at 25 lbs. Amberjack are still easy to catch, although they're out of season. We've been catching a lot of snapper of all different types. Throughout the week, we caught some big lanes, yellowtail, mangrove, even a few nice vermillions. The blue water has brought the deeper water fish closer to shore, so it's been fun catching fish that aren't always available at shallower depths.

It's been a good spring...
Jun 8, 2016 • Holmes Beach
This spring has been great for fishing. It's been especially good for snapper, kingfish, flounder, cobia, and snook. The kingfish have been plentiful. The biggest one we brought in weighed 25 lbs, and was caught by an 11-year-old boy after a 40 minute fight. We are looking forward to a great summer of fishing!
