    Great Captain. Great Trip!

    We had a fantastic trip with Captain Jorge! I’ve been fishing my entire life and spent a lot of time researching charters before booking. I know how difficult it can be to choose a boat based only on online reviews, so I wanted to share how happy we were with our choice. Jorge and Pedro are excellent, skilled captains, and you can tell you’re in experienced hands. The boat was great, and having a cabin to get out of the sun was a big plus. If you’re looking for a fishing charter in the Azores, I highly recommend booking with them!

    Tonfisk och mer!!

    Halvdagstur – Big Game (FM) • 4 vuxna

    3/4 av sällskapet hade aldrig fiskat till havs tidigare. På mycket kort tid hade vi fått napp och tagit in fin tonfisk. Besättningen var fantastisk med kapten Pedro och styrman Vasco som gav vägledning och coachning efter behov. Eftersom det var en stund med vänner var det också roligt att se reaktionerna när vi fick se delfiner, delfiner och alldeles för många delfiner. Den enda ångesten är att vi inte bokade en heldagstur och istället valde en fyratimmarstur. Men det var en fantastisk introduktion och vi ser fram emot att boka med samma besättning i framtiden när fler familjemedlemmar och vänner kommer och hälsar på oss på ön. Pedro och Vasco, tack så mycket och vi hoppas att detta är början på en lång och varaktig vänskap.

    Vasco och Guillermo gjorde det till en enastående dag på vattnet. Vasco är en utmärkt kapten som höll oss på fisken hela eftermiddagen. Vi tappade räkningen på hur många barracuda, triggerfish och rockfish vi fångade. Guillermo var en rolig och kompetent styrman, och de två jobbade sömlöst som ett team. Utöver att sätta oss på ett fantastiskt fiske bjöd Vasco på färska persikor och vatten under turen och tog fantastiska foton och videor så att vi skulle ha massor av minnen att ta med hem. Hela besättningen var vänlig, avslappnad och gjorde dagen genuint rolig. Båten i sig var ren, välskött och bekväm. Rekommenderar varmt denna fiskecharter till alla som letar efter ett bra fångstresultat och en ännu bättre stund på vattnet.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Captain Jorge! A Must for Families

    If you have a child, booking with Captain Jorge is an absolute must. My nine-year-old son Ben and I chartered a day and a half with him, and it became one of the most memorable experiences of our trip, even without catching tuna. Jorge is patient, kind, and genuinely gifted with kids. He kept Ben involved in every little task on the boat, always had an eye on him, and made us feel completely safe throughout. You could tell this wasn’t just professionalism. Jorge has a son Ben’s age, and his fatherly instinct and pure excitement at seeing Ben smile and learn was truly priceless. When the tuna weren’t cooperating, Jorge didn’t miss a beat. He spent two hours trolling for barracuda and jigging across three different locations, mixing up the scenery and the species just to keep Ben engaged and ensure he caught something. The action was non-stop. We landed 5 barracudas and 23 other fish, groupers, dogfish, triggerfish, and more. Ben was in absolute heaven. Jorge turned every catch into a little lesson, showing Ben the different species and keeping his curiosity fired up the entire time. Throughout the trip, Jorge kept a watchful eye out for turtles, whales, and dolphins. When he spotted a group of dolphins, he changed course to get us closer. They approached the boat and curiously played around us, putting on a show neither of us expected. Ben and I were completely amazed, and it is a moment we will never forget. The magic lasted well beyond the boat. For the rest of the trip, Ben kept telling everyone how much he loved Jorge, his boat, and their time together. He reminded me multiple times a day to write this review, and he’s nine, so that says everything. This review might sound over the top, but honestly, it still doesn’t fully capture how incredible our time was. Jorge gave us a lifetime of memories, and we cannot wait to fish with him again.

    Havet var lugnt och för det mesta var himlen mulen, vilket faktiskt hjälpte till när det gäller lufttemperaturen. Den storögda tonfisken hade fräckheten att undvika oss :) även om två fiskar i 40 kg-klassen nappade på ett närliggande fiskefartyg, något som vi bevittnade. Gott om delfiner syntes, varav några kom inom några meter från båten. Portugisisk öronsläcka kunde ses minst var tionde minut medan båten var i rörelse. Sjöfåglar var närvarande nästan hela tiden. För någon som älskar marint liv är det här området ett måste. Både kapten Pedro och hans styrman Vasco gav en grundlig genomgång av fiskeutrustningen, relaterade strategier och tonfiskens beteende. Jag rekommenderar varmt deras tjänster.

Bigeye Action & Dolphin Magic! ?

What a spectacular day out on the water! We left the marina this morning and headed south. Just about 8 miles out, the ocean came alive—we spotted massive activity with hundreds of seabirds diving and tunas crashing the surface. We immediately got the lines in the water, and it didn’t take long. Just 20 minutes into the troll, fish on! After an intense and thrilling 30-minute battle, our guests successfully brought a beautiful Bigeye Tuna on board! To make the day even more unforgettable, shortly after the catch, hundreds of dolphins joined the party, putting on an incredible show right alongside the boat. Everyone returned to the marina with massive smiles and memories to last a lifetime. This is what fishing in the Azores is all about! Ready for your own adventure? Join us!
