Captain Sterling is a fully-licensed charter captain who started this business last year but has been fishing Trout and Salmon on Lake Champlain since he was 6 years old. The captain knows Lake Champlain like the back of his hand. Lake Trout is his favorite target species but if it can be caught, he fishes for it!

My son had an amazing time and caught multiple trout and freshwater drum. My son really liked Sterling and had a great time! We will definitely book with him again when we visit VT! Thanks Captain for a great experience! It was the highlight of Colston’s summer!

He was great at explaining the techniques to my kids and got us right on the fish. We would definitely fish with him again if we're in the area. Highly recommend this charter!

We caught plenty of lake trout and had a blast jigging for them. I highly recommend this charter. Thanks for everything Sterling!

Chasing freshwater monsters ?

The late summer fishing has been epic to say the least some days better than others of course but today was one of those days everyone dreams about! Crazy lake trout bite first thing in the morning then switched over to casting for freshwater drum and this lucky client caught the biggest one so far this year. I run strictly casting and jigging trips for these fish at this time of year and once you feel them on the other end of the line, youll know why! Its a fight that just cant be matched when trolling.

The fresh water drum fishing in the river is an experience you wont want to miss! With the possibility of fish topping out at 25lbs, the fight on light tackle is un-matched! Pound for pound they are some of the hardest fighting fish youll find in the northeast kingdom in freah water.

The freshwater drum fishing has been absolute insanity these last couple weeks with fish pushing over 20lbs on light tackle rods makes for a thrilling fight. Pound for pound these drum are some of the hardest fighting fish in the lake. The lake trout jigging has slowed to a halt as the lake recovers from the massive flooding on july 10th but the bite will return as the lake settles
