  What an incredible experience with Y-Knot Charters! From the moment we booked, everything was first-class. Derek was incredibly responsive, answered every question promptly, and provided all the details we needed, making the booking process completely seamless. Captain Ack and Wesley were an outstanding team. Wesley expertly handled the navigation while Captain Ack orchestrated the entire fishing operation—from selecting the best fishing grounds and rigging the lines to choosing the right bait and making adjustments throughout the trip. It was obvious they knew these waters inside and out. We booked the morning half-day charter, departed right on time, and the action started almost immediately. Within the first 30 minutes we had a barracuda on the line, followed about 30 minutes later by a beautiful mahi-mahi. We landed another barracuda, and then, in the final hour, capped off the trip with an absolute monster wahoo! One of the highlights was how much Captain Ack shared along the way. He explained the purpose behind every rig, bait selection, and adjustment, turning the trip into both an exciting fishing adventure and a chance to learn from a true professional. His personality made the experience even better—engaging, funny, and genuinely passionate about what he does. The four hours flew by, and we left with incredible memories, great fish, and an even greater appreciation for the crew’s skill and hospitality. If you’re looking for a fishing charter in Curaçao, I can’t recommend Y-Knot Charters highly enough. A true 5-star experience from start to finish—we’d book with them again in a heartbeat.

  If you’re fishing in Curaçao, the Party Hooker with Capt. Ack and Wesley is the charter you book. These two are absolute pros — skilled, patient, and genuinely great humans who make the whole experience feel effortless and fun. They were amazing with our kids, keeping them involved, teaching them, and making sure they had the time of their lives. We reeled in a gorgeous tuna, and instead of just tossing them on ice, Ack and Wesley turned our catch into fresh sashimi and ceviche right on the boat. It was unreal — some of the freshest, most delicious fish we’ve ever tasted. We also caught a barracuda!!! The boat was spotless, well‑equipped, and the vibe was that perfect mix of relaxed and high‑energy. You can tell these guys love what they do. And for the record — we also learned that ballyhoo are the only fish that can see their own chin. 😆 If you want a charter that’s professional, family‑friendly, and delivers a truly unforgettable Caribbean adventure, the Party Hooker is it.

  unforgettable experience

  We had an awesome deep sea fishing experience overall! We ended up landing a massive yellowfin tuna—around 40 kg—which was an absolute thrill and something we won’t forget anytime soon. The captain and mate were fantastic: super knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly very experienced. They worked hard to get us on fish and made the whole trip smooth and enjoyable—easily a 10/10 for the crew. The only downside, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, was that we didn’t get to keep any of the tuna. That was a bit disappointing, especially after such an incredible catch, and something we wish had been clearer upfront. That said, it was still an unforgettable experience, and we’d absolutely recommend this charter—just be sure to ask about the fish retention policy ahead of time!

  Hi Hanna, thank you for your review, yes indeed we expained to you that we will need a big knife to cut the fish, and also a cutting table, and if the fish will be cut, the restaurants wound buy it, because its a big fish, unfortunately you forgot to tell in your review, that we cut the other fish, and left you around 3 kilos of clean fresh fish without skin, bloodline or bones. even dropped it off at the B&B. so you did not go empty handed.

  Kaptenen och besättningen var fantastiska. Jag och min fru åkte ut och fångade 2 små barracudor, 2 storögd tonfisk och en riktigt fin Mahi Mahi. Besättningen var väldigt uppmärksam med spöna och justerade beten och riggar för att lista ut vad som funkade den dagen. Under båtturen blev min fru sjösjuk och de var vänliga nog att ta henne tillbaka till land och fortsätta fiska med mig. Sammantaget en fantastisk upplevelse och jag skulle definitivt rekommendera det till andra fiskare.

  En fantastisk dag på havet!

  Vi hade en fantastisk dag på det här djuphavsfisket! Allt var mycket välorganiserat från början till slut. Det fanns gott om mat och dryck ombord under hela dagen, vilket gjorde upplevelsen ännu mer bekväm. Själva fisket var fantastiskt. Vi fångade två vackra Wahoo på ungefär 17 kg vardera och två tonfiskar på cirka 3 kg. Det var en fantastisk upplevelse och verkligen spännande. Besättningen och kaptenen var otroligt trevliga, professionella och mycket kunniga. De tog sig tid att förklara allt, hjälpte till där det behövdes och såg till att alla hade det bra. Man kan verkligen märka att de älskar det de gör. Sammanfattningsvis en verkligt oförglömlig dag. Varmt rekommenderat för alla som letar efter en rolig och professionell fiskeupplevelse!
