About Riptide Charters
Riptide Charters is a family-run fishing charter based in Shelly Beach on South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, with almost 30 years of experience on the water. Fishing runs deep in the family, and generations of local knowledge have been passed down through the Riptide team.
We specialise in deep-sea and reef fishing, targeting a variety of game and bottom-dwelling species throughout the year. Whether you are an experienced angler chasing your next trophy fish, a family looking for an unforgettable day on the ocean, or a first-timer wanting to experience deep-sea fishing for the first time, everyone is welcome aboard.
Our goal is simple: to give every angler a memorable day on the water, with experienced skippers, a stable and well-equipped boat, and personal assistance throughout the trip. We provide the bait and tackle, help you get the most from your time on the water, and even assist with cleaning your catch after the trip.
With Riptide Charters, you don't just come fishing with us. You become part of the experience.
