Being raised Salmon fishing from as far back as I can remember. The ocean is in my blood. My love for fishing has taken me all over the coast of BC. From Prince Rupert to the waters around Vancouver Island. I get to share this knowledge and have a great adventure each time we go out! Happy to have you onboard!

The captain kept us in the catching mode almost the entire time. Caught and released many smaller sized chinook and a keeper cod. We were hoping for a halibut but was a little early in the season. Captain Sean is a hard worker and has lots of interesting stories.

We had an Awesome1/2 day, caught our limit!!!! Reeled in 29lb Chinook!! And 5 other Chinooks!!!! He gave us the crabs from the trap he set earlier in the day. Captain Sean was professional, friendly and the wealth of the knowledge he shared was interesting and made the trip worth while. We highly recommend Hali Hunter and most definitely would go with him again.

February 1, 2016~ A great day for winter Chinook salmon fishing. December until March we have opportunities for feeder chinooks ( 8-20lb), halibut, pacific cod, sable fish, crab and prawns. We mostly targeted chinooks, releasing 6 and keeping 2, with a couple long line releases (aka. Lost!), making for an average winter day .... Lots of different cod (lingcod and rock fish) were caught but were released due to theses species being closed for spawning at this time of year. A drop of prawn traps also produced a nice catch of spot prawns!!

The Chinook fishing is heating up, lots of fish in the 22-26 inch range with decent numbers of fish in the teens . Most days are flat calm and the scenery of snow capped mountains and abundant sea life are unreal! The herring spawn being in full swing draws killer whales , humpbacks whales, sea lions and sea birds to feed with the salmon migration. Spoons and anchovies are producing . Fishing from 140 to 300 feet works best ..

Out on the Salish sea this winter the water has been flat and the weather above normal making for lots of great days ! Fish are biting on anchovies at around 200 feet deep. Shorter leaders with bullet role chartreuse teaser head and a blue flasher seems to be out fishing everything else. Fish from 10-20 lbs are common in the winter months and great table fare! Tight lines everyone and happy new year !

Flat calm and warm ! Great day with super people. Lots of nice fish coming in ! Today's biggest was 29.5lb ! This fish jumped 8 times at least three to four feet out of the water making for an amazing fight. Limits of chinooks and a half dozen crabs made for very happy guests!

Very hot weather has pushed the salmon deep , this helps with catching other species at the same time. Such as Ling cod ,Rock fish and halibut!

Fishing out of pacific play ground for Chinook salmon. Hoochies down deep are working best . Bottom fishing for rock fish and ling also great this time of year.

Om du inte har något emot kylan, ge dig ut på trolling efter Chumlax och Kungslax. När vintern närmar sig blir kräftfisket bättre och bättre.
