Ressammanfattning

On the afternoon of August 6, ADRENALINA 2.0, captained by Rubén López, departed Cabo San Lucas Marina at 12:00 PM for a 4-hour fishing charter. Our guests specifically wanted to target roosterfish. Although this is not currently the peak season for roosterfish in Cabo, the crew adjusted the fishing plan and headed inshore to give them the best possible opportunity. We began by slow-trolling live bait along the Pacific coastline, working the productive inshore waters from Morro Prieto to the Lighthouse area. After approximately two hours of working the shoreline, we hooked a needlefish, which was successfully brought alongside the boat and released. The guests then decided to switch strategies and head offshore to try their luck trolling feathers for mahi mahi (dorado). We continued working our way back toward Cabo, and near the entrance to the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas, a skipjack tuna struck the trolling spread, giving us one final catch before returning to the marina at 4:00 PM. Fishing Strategy: * 4-hour afternoon charter * Target species: Roosterfish * Slow-trolling live bait along the shoreline * Route: Morro Prieto → Lighthouse * Switched to trolling feathers for mahi mahi * Captain: Rubén López Summary: * ? 1 needlefish caught and released * ? 1 skipjack tuna caught * ? Inshore live-bait trolling for roosterfish * ? Offshore trolling for mahi mahi * ? 4-hour afternoon trip aboard ADRENALINA 2.0 Although the roosterfish didn’t cooperate this afternoon, the crew adapted throughout the trip and gave our anglers the opportunity to experience different fishing techniques and species. Another enjoyable afternoon on the waters of Cabo San Lucas. ??☀️

We began trolling approximately 3 miles offshore, running a spread that included two short trolling lures, two long feather lures, two short natural baits, and two long natural baits. Upon reaching the waters off Cabeza de Ballena, approximately 5 miles offshore, we changed course toward the Pacific side. The fish was successfully hooked, but during the fight, it jumped and managed to throw the hook. We continued trolling along the Pacific coast, searching for additional billfish activity. Approximately 2.5 miles offshore near Las Bombas, another marlin struck our ballyhoo bait rigged with a planer. This time, the crew successfully hooked and landed a striped marlin, bringing the fish in for photographs. Following the catch, we turned around and began making our way back toward Cabo San Lucas.
