Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report — Fall Fishing Is Back! Fall is finally here in South Florida, and the fishing is turning on! After a long, tough summer dealing with some of the worst Sargasso seaweed we’ve seen in years, the water is finally clearing up. That means we can get back to doing what we love — trolling the offshore waters of Fort Lauderdale without fighting seaweed all day long! The mahi fishing is producing, and we’re also starting to see some wahoo showing up offshore. The trolling conditions are improving every day, and it’s great to finally have clean water and hungry fish working together. The bottom fishing is also starting to come alive. We’re seeing some nice mutton snapper, yellowtail snapper, and vermilion snapper on the reefs and deeper structure. The bigger kingfish are beginning to show up as well, along with some hard-fighting bonito. It’s been a challenging summer for Fort Lauderdale offshore fishing, but that’s behind us now.
