Wenn die meisten Menschen an Detroit denken, denken sie nicht sofort ans Angeln. Das ist gut für Sie, denn so haben Sie die erste Wahl aus seiner unglaublichen Walleye-Population, unterstützt und geführt vom erfahrenen Kapitän von About Time Charters.

Steigen Sie an Bord ihres 2024er Smoker Craft Aluminium-Angelboots mit einer Länge von 21 Fuß. Es bietet Platz für 5 Angler, die gleichzeitig in komfortabler Umgebung fischen können, zusammen mit dem Kapitän. Ein kabelloser Trollingmotor ist an Bord installiert, um Sie stabil im Fluss zu halten und um sich auch an die scheuesten Fische heranschleichen zu können. Ein hochmodernes Navigations- und Fischfindersystem ist ebenfalls verfügbar, sowie maßgefertigte Sitze und Garmin-Elektronik.

Die Gewässer des Detroit River sind voller Walleye, und Kapitän Damon Herndon kennt alle besten Angelplätze. Er befischt den Fluss seit über zwei Jahrzehnten und hat seine Technik zu einer feinen Kunst verfeinert - die er gerne mit seinen Kunden teilt. Jiggen ist das A und O bei dieser Charter, und die Charter stellt alle Ausrüstung bereit, die Sie benötigen könnten.

Die Reinigung und das Filetieren Ihres Fangs ist am Detroit River kostenlos erhältlich. Alle erforderlichen Ausrüstungsgegenstände werden von der Charter bereitgestellt. Eine gültige Michigan-Angelerlaubnis und eine 1-Tages-Kanadische Angelerlaubnis müssen vor Beginn Ihres Angelausflugs erworben werden. Kunden wird empfohlen, eine wasserdichte Kamera, angemessene Kleidung, polarisierte Sonnenbrillen und Sonnenschutzmittel mitzubringen.

Half Day Trip with Captain Damon

The only reason the overall experience got three stars was because we expected to be jigging or drifting in the river. This is the trip we thought we booked and because the captain had “prior engagements” he launched on Lake Erie and we trolled. This did not give the personal experience of feeling the bite, setting the hook, and reeling in the fish with a sensitive pole. Rather we all sat in the boat waiting for the next planet board to trip and one guy got to reel in the fish without feeling the fight. Just not the experience we expected. Everything else was good. The advertisement says that fish cleaning is included but it’s not!  We had to take our fish to a bait shop and wait over an hour and PAY/TIP the guy.  Just a heads up.

Took it to the limit!

5 Hour Trip – Lake Erie (AM) am Juni 14, 2021 • 2 Erwachsene

Capt. Damon was great. Took us out to a spot where we hit walleye right away. Had to run back towards land due to some major chop, but he got us back into action and we limited out thanks to his expert knowledge. 
Boat and gear were in top condition and the day was a great way to treat my buddy after helping me move cross country. Hoping to catch Capt. Damon for a river trip next spring!!

Morning Trip for beginners

We had a great time with Captain Damon. Despite the season being a little slow he was able to put our group who had never did for walleye on fish, and we caught our first walleye. With the captain driving it was easy to keep the line vertical, and I understand that is the difficulty in vertical jigging. He mad it easy and was patient with our group including our four boys.
