Capt. Joe betreibt Flunder-Gigging seit über 2 Jahrzehnten und liebt es, seine Leidenschaft mit anderen zu teilen. Gigging unter dem Sternenhimmel ist ein magisches Erlebnis. Sie benötigen auch keine Erfahrung! Solange Sie über 12 Jahre alt sind, können Sie mitkommen, lernen, wie man giggt, und Ihr eigenes Abendessen erlegen – ein sehr cooles Gefühl.
Sie fahren los, sobald es dunkel wird, je nach Monat kann das bereits um 19:30 Uhr oder deutlich später, gegen 20:30 Uhr sein. Sie angeln 5 Stunden lang oder bis Sie über 20 Fische gefangen haben, je nachdem, was zuerst eintritt. Neben Flunder können Sie auch auf Schwarzer Trommler und Schafskopf-Meerbrasse giggen.
Der Ausflug findet auf Capt. Joes maßgefertigtem 24-Fuß-Boot statt, das 2018 gebaut wurde. An Bord ist genug Platz für 6 Personen, wobei 2 gleichzeitig giggen können. Der kabellose Trolling-Motor hilft Ihnen, nah genug an die Fische heranzukommen, ohne sie zu erschrecken.
Die gesamte Ausrüstung, die für einen erfolgreichen Gigging-Ausflug benötigt wird, ist im Preis inbegriffen. Sie müssen Ihre eigenen Speisen und Getränke mitbringen, die in der Kühlbox des Kapitäns auf dem Boot verstaut werden können. Bitte kaufen Sie vor dem Ausflug eine Lizenz.

Capt gave tips and texhnique to my son. My son got his limit including a door mat almost 25 inches. He got another one about 22 inches. My wife and I got a couple each. Water conditions were hit, some spots great, some a bit murky but Capt Joe kept us moving to get to ideal spots. Overall great trip. Left the dock at 7:30, back shortly after 1am.

Kept in contact before trip.. arrived on time.. was very knowledgeable and gave great information and instructions. Was great with teaching our 2 teenager boys what to do. Got us on great fish! And really took the time to fillet and clean our fish properly. Was an amazing trip. Also got the bonus of some dolphin watching! Which I enjoyed as much as the fishing. Will definitely be booking again! Thank you Captain Joe !

We almost got our limit and even got a couple of sheepshead. Joe was kind, helpful, patient, and gave great fishing advice. His boat was set up perfect for night gigging. My 2 sons had a blast. Joe cleaned all our fish and even gave suggestions on how to soak the blood out of the fillets and store and prepare them. He went way out of his way to be kind and helpful. The fish were excellent eating too! He was very professional, checked our licenses and made sure we had enough life jackets on board. I would highly recommend Captain Joe for night gigging. We will do it again when we come back to Port Aransas for fishing. Thank you Captain Joe! Dennis Moseley

Captain Joe was knowledgeable, patient and just a great guy to be on a boat for 6 hours. He was happy to be on the water with us as well. We caught 11 Flounder and 1 Black Drum.
From start to finish, this fishing trip exceeded all expectations. The captain was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly—making everyone feel welcome, whether you were a seasoned angler or picking up a gig for the first time. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and perfectly suited for a night out on the water. We hit the water early, and within the first hour, we were giggling fish! The guides knew all the best spots and shared great tips throughout the night .
Captain Joe works hard and is accommodating. He was very communicative. I reached out to him with questions and with some request. He was very prompt in responding and helped us out with our needs. Our group had a hard night fishing with poor conditions, but Cap. Joe kept trying spots, kept trying, and we eventually all went home with fish. I could tell that was important to him. And, we had lots and lots of fun! His language was not near as salty as many other captains, which I appreciated and would make me feel better about taking kids and inviting friends who may not appreciate such language. All in all, you can't go wrong with Captain Joe. I've had family members go out with him, and they share the same. Joe's the one in the Port A area if you want to gig flounders.

Great guide not only because he put us on the fish. It is fishing so catching wasn’t expected it’s just nice when it does happen. He was a great guide because he was punctual, professional, and educational. He had good communication the entire time.
