NSB Shark Hunters – Ormond Beach 

Even though we didn’t catch any sharks, we really enjoyed our evening with Matt. Within minutes of booking the charter, Matt reached out to introduce himself. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and he did a great job keeping my kids (ages 12 and 22) engaged the whole time. He really took the time to teach them along the way. My youngest was thrilled just to be able to catch bait fish. His helper Chris was great too. Prior to arriving, I honestly thought I would be ready to go home within an hour, but the time went by quickly and the kids and I left the beach talking about when we’d be able to book another charter. Bonus points for the location — parking was close and convenient, restrooms were right there and there was a nice spot to rinse the sand off. We’ll definitely be back!

We had an absolutely incredible experience on this shark fishing trip! I booked it for my seven-year-old son, who has always loved fishing and has been fascinated by my past shark fishing trips. While I’ve been on a few shark excursions before, I had never tried fishing for sharks from the shore, and this turned out to be the perfect opportunity for my son to experience it firsthand. Our guides, Owen and Josh, were phenomenal. They were already fully set up and ready to go when we arrived, and within just five minutes we had our first line in the water. Before we even had the second rod out, we had already hooked our first shark! By the end of the evening, we landed two nice-sized sharks and hooked several more. What impressed me most was how Owen kept my son engaged throughout the entire trip. I had worried that a seven-year-old’s attention span might not last, but instead it turned into an unforgettable educational experience. Owen showed him how to catch sand fleas and ghost crabs, which was just as exciting for my son as the sharks themselves. These are memories he’ll carry with him forever. Another incredible aspect, one I hadn’t read about before,is that every shark caught is tagged for research purposes. I loved this added element of contributing to science and conservation, and it made the experience even more meaningful. My wife and I have already said we can’t imagine visiting Florida again without booking another trip with NSB Shark Hunters. Owen and Josh are two exceptional young men who clearly have a true passion not just for fishing, but for educating and creating unforgettable experiences for others. If you’re on the fence about booking this trip, don’t be! You’ll have the time of your life. I cannot say enough good things about NSB Shark Hunters, especially Owen and Josh. Highly recommended!

Chris, Matt, and Dustin are amazing and very informative. My son and his best friend who are teenagers had the time of their life, learning and catching a shark. So glad they got to bring in a shark. Thank you all very much.

Matt & Josh were wonderful guides! They took time demonstrating how to handle the equipment & were very hands on. Extremely personable & knowledgeable about fishing in general. Great for families, couples, & beach lovers!

Josh and his helper were super kind and fun to hang out with! They were very knowledgeable and were more than happy to answer our many questions. I have been looking forward to this experience (we booked it for my birthday), but was pretty bummed we didn’t catch a single shark :( we did have an overall good time though!
