Janine B Sportfishing 

Grew up on this harbor and wasn’t sure who to go with for our son’s 12th Birthday. Came across Captain Wayne and so lucky we did. Walking in the Harbormaster said “you’re on the Janine B?, ya, Cap Wayne is great and you’ll caught a bunch. Not to worry “. What an excellent day filled with a ton of large stripers including a 42” monster caught by the Birthday boy. Ryan his 1st mate was magic. This kid knows his fishing and was so talented. Had toms of knowledge and info. Filleted all our catches on ride back. All the other boats around 12-15 were literally watching us haul in catch after catch. I counted maybe 2 other boats pulling something up. The only disappointment was not booking a longer trip. Thank you Capt Wayne and Ryan. Was an awesome day to celebrate our sons 1st deep sea experience

Capt Wayne and Ryan were great! Captain managed our expectations on a spectacular day- but a bit breezy and a slight chop. We had a little wait to hit the right spots, but we were super excited to land several large stripers! Ryan was a knowledgeable mate- lots of fishing and local knowledge and very personable. Wayne knew the spots and is willing to share a ton of stories and local knowledge. They also are very safety conscious and use care handling the fish- careful not to injure the fish that are caught and released. Highly recommend. We brought home some some of our catch, well filleted by the mate. We’ll be eating striper all week!

If you’re looking for the perfect charter for you and your family, stop now, because this is it. Captain Wayne, Captain Kevin and First Mate Ryan were some of the most knowledgeable, patient, thorough and incredibly kind souls you could hope to have on an excursion like this. Our party consisted of our core family of four that included our 12 year-old son and 10 year-old daughter. We also brought along my wife’s parents. We left on time and didn’t waste a moment for the actual fishing to get started. Our mate Ryan had our son and my father-in-law starting us off by jigging, and within 5 minutes they were doubled-up. Our son fought for a good 7 minutes to reel his first ever Striped Bass in. Turns out, it would be the biggest catch of the day at 41” and suffice to say he was ecstatic. The smack he was talking all week to his grandfather leading up to the trip paid off in spades. Every single one of us caught fish, and not one was below 28”. Some of us caught more than one. According to the crew, my wife caught the first Bluefish of the season for their charter. It was awesome to see a variety of species. Captain Kevin and Ryan also didn’t waste any time when they felt we needed to change tackle/technique. We then switched over to using the hoochies when jigging wasnt doing the trick and the fish kept coming. Even more wild, we had heard reports from nearby boats that Great White sharks were taking fish from some of the nearby anglers that were trying to reel their catches in. If that weren’t enough, we spotted two humpback whales on two different occasions. One breaching close enough that everyone saw, which left all of us speechless. These reviews speak for themselves, and we will absolutely be back to see the crew again next year. We left with huge smiles, our hearts full, and a cooler even more-so with our haul. 100% memories of a lifetime made with this crew. Stop hesitating and book the trip with Janine B. We had an absolutely incredible day out on the water with Captain Wayne and his mate, Ryan! I took my three kids out of Sesuit Harbor, and from the moment we stepped onto the boat, we knew we were in great hands. Captain Wayne put us right on the fish, and we had a blast reeling in some beautiful striped bass. Ryan was fantastic with the kids—patient, helpful, and constantly keeping lines ready to go so the action never stopped. If you're looking for a professional, family-friendly crew that knows how to find the fish and make sure everyone has a safe, memorable time, look no further. We had an incredible fishing trip with Captain Wayne and his crew! From the very beginning, communication was excellent, and everything was smooth, organized, and professional. The trip went flawlessly and exceeded our expectations. Our group of four had an amazing time — at one point, all of us were reeling in fish at the same time! We asked what the highest catch on a single trip had been and were told 22 fish. By the end of our trip, we had pulled in 39 stripers! Captain Wayne and the crew were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and made the entire experience fun and memorable. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a great day on the water. We will definitely be booking again!
