Born And Raised Charters 

Highly recommend booking a day with Tyler. He had us on fish all day, hit multiple spots and caught a bunch of different fish. On our 3rd spot, he let me get my bass fishing addiction play out by ripping jigs for mackerel and sea trout, kids were getting into them nearly every cast. We had a couple of kids, 5 & 8, on the boat, Capt was patient and helpful with them, very much appreciated and made the trip memorable for the four of us. Will definitely be coming back to S. FL with Born and Raised!!

We booked the trip while in Marco Island on spring break. We chose this guide for the 5 star rating and, received a 5 star experience. Tyler is honest, laid back and was great with the kids. He called prior to trip to let us know fishing wouldn’t be great due to the weather and asked if we wanted to reschedule. Due to our limited time here, we kept the tour and adjusted a bit to include a “scenic” boat ride with a shelling stop. At the end, we did catch about 10 fish including a pompano and baby black tip shark! Overall, a great 3 hr experience.

Captain Tyler was amazing. We did a 6 hour nearshore trip and it didn’t disappoint. Captain Tyler had us on the fish every time we stoped at a spot. We caught over 50 fish during our trip. We even landed a Goliath grouper. He was very knowledgeable about the fish and very patient with my youngest son. We couldn’t have had a better captain for our trip. I highly recommend Captain Tyler and will certainly book with him again next time we are in town. Thanks again Captain!

Tyler is the best on the water. The day before our trip he told us the fish have not been biting and if I wanted to cancel, I could. Me and my 3 boys decided to try our luck and Tyler did not disappoint. The boys each caught about 5 fish - everything from bonnet head shark to trout to catfish and more. I ended up with a 31 inch Red fish. Tyler said the other boats did not fare as well. I highly recommend Tyler. He’s a local and his knowledge was excellent not to mention just being a really great guy. Oh, and he found some dolphins who swam and jumped next to us for a minute. Great trip had by all!

It was an awesome three hours! We fish for small fish and caught many different varieties, and then we went for larger fish. We didn’t catch any larger fish, but we did see a tarpon jump out of the water and take a spin. The best part about Tyler is his knowledge and love of fishing.

We departed the marina shortly after 8am to head out to the ocean and net some bait. Tyler knew the sweet spot, only took 2 casts to get what we needed for the day. Then we were in our way to a great spot where we saw tons of dolphins swimming, turtle heads bobbing and we all caught a ton of snook, it was literally one after the other. After a solid hour or two we headed to another location, the boat rides were fun and the water was really calm inside ten thousand Islands. We enjoyed the ride in both the gulf and ti side the islands. Unfortunately our later too fishing spots were unsuccessful (either too hot, or just bad luck). We still had fun though and Tyler was great to talk to and always super kind. We will definitely fish with him again if we return to the area. Thank you for a great morning Tyler!!

I usually book 3-4 charters a year in the Naples/Marco Island area. We have fished with dozens of different guides, Capt. Tyler and Born and Raised Charters has been the best! Captain Tyler was personable, knowledgeable and very hard working! He put on a ton of fish even under challenging conditions (cold air and water temps and a tough tide). We had a wonderful trip. Caught 10 different species of fish. Was able to bring some home to cook. We seemed to hook some fish at every spot we stopped at. The day couldn’t have ended better we caught 3 very big redfish at our last stop. I highly recommend Born and Raised Charters, Captain Tyler was Great

Tyler was great! He is as stated, “Born and Raised”! This wasn’t our first charter with Tyler and he never fails to disappoint. He took us way back in the 10,000 islands for some backwater fishing in several spots. He is laid back, great company and was great with our boys, and me (when I got my line stuck several times 😬). He knows the waters, the spots, and had live bait. Highly recommend supporting Tyler with your business.

We did a half day (morning) with Captain Tyler - and had the best time!! We are from South Dakota and not very experienced with fishing. We also have a 10 y/o who asks a lot of questions and has a hard time keeping a line in the water! Tyler was extremely patient with him (and us) and took the time to explain how and why to do certain things and also recasted his line as many times as he asked him to. We visited several different spots and had some luck at each one - caught dinner, a shark and a tarpon! This is a trip our kids will be talking about for a long while!
