This trip really exceeded our expectations. Chris was so great with our kids and finding an area for them to stay busy catching lots of fish. You can’t beat the personal attention that our kids got for fishing instruction and how to use the equipment. Chris was extremely personable and pleasant and it was all around a fabulous trip. Also the westher and the spot were beautiful. So glad we did this!!!! Thank you!

We have never fished before in our lives. We showed up at the dock and were greeted by our guide. He was very kind and patient. He explained how to cast and he put the bait on our hooks. We were all able to catch, and by our choice, release a bunch of fish. The fact that the kids want to come back next year says it all. I highy recommend it!

Capt Chris from In Debt Charters made our family fishing trip the highlight of our whole trip to the Outer Banks. He made sure to contact us ahead of time to figure out the best day to go so we didn’t have to cancel due to the hurricane that was on the way. He also reached out to verify that we weren’t staying in an area that was being evacuated before we left on our road trip. We have three teenagers who absolutely loved the trip and I think we all know it’s not the easiest to find things that teenagers enjoy to do with us, haha . Capt Chris made us all feel included and welcomed as if we were just enjoying a great fishing day on the water with a friend. He went out of his way to help us catch all sorts of fish. A fun experience for all levels. He mentioned he loves to educate. Very nice, knowledgeable, helpful and fun! Thank you !

We had such a great experience on our 2-hour trip with Captain Chris! From the moment we stepped on the boat, he made us feel welcome and comfortable. He was especially amazing with my 5-year-old son—patient, encouraging, and so kind. My son talked about “Captain Chris” the whole rest of the day, which tells you how much fun he had. Although we didn’t catch a lot of fish, that had nothing to do with the effort put in on Captain Chris’s part. It was simply the weather and the time of year—the fish just weren’t biting. Captain Chris tried multiple spots, gave us a lot of opportunities, and used his knowledge of the area to give us the best chance possible. We really appreciated how much he explained along the way, which made the whole trip educational and enjoyable, even when the fish were quiet. What stood out the most was how genuinely friendly and easygoing he was. He made the entire outing stress-free and fun, which is exactly what we were hoping for. We would absolutely recommend Captain Chris to anyone, especially families with kids—he goes above and beyond to make sure you have a memorable time on the water. We’ll definitely be booking with him again in the future!

it was honestly so amazing! the boat was clean and the captain was so friendly and helpful. he helped me so much with the bait, helped me get a big sheepshead, and taught me how to tie a knot. we will be coming back to fish with him again! an experience of a lifetime!
