I booked a morning fly trout trip for my son and I with Josh based on his reviews, and must say he met the mark. It was convenient that he had all the fly rods and setup ready for us, his oar river boat skills were fantastic. He had us in fish within minutes of launching, helping my 18yo son with no prior experience learn some basic skils that led to numerous fish fought. The trip exceeded expectations. The views along the river and getting thru a couple tricky rapids alone were worth the price of admission. Josh is a chill and patient guide full of river knowledge to share and I highly recommend his service. He is a guide I’ll rebook on a future trip to the area.

Josh was a very good guide! We caught lots of trout and had a fantastic time! Would recommend him and his service! He was prompt and told us what to expect and put us on fish! Will use him again!

Just an amazing experience. Josh took the time to teach us how to fly fish and then we were off and running or should I say floating down the river. Caught quite a few beautiful rainbows. I would highly recommend for the beginner or expert angler.

Josh was fantastic!! Really good with my 11 year old son and served us some great burgers and dogs for lunch. Fishing was excellent caught too many to count!

Great float trip today with my grandson and Captain Josh. We did catch and release as well as took a few rainbows home for dinner. Captain Josh took the time to explain various fly fishing techniques with us and made the trip a memorable one. Highly recommend this Captain!

My dad and I booked with Josh to go fly fishing on the Mckenzie river because my dad had dreamed of fishing that river for years in a McKenzie drift boat. i had never actually fly fished before and my dad had done it a few times in Montana but is now he was 80 years old. Josh was not worried about it at all, by end of the trip we caught close to 30-40 trout. My dad said it was his best fly fishing trip ever and i actually learned how to use a fly rod! Thanks Josh!

Josh our guide was top notch and very professional! He greeted us at a safe meeting spot and made sure we truly were ready to embark on our fishing trip. When we arrived we got right to the boat and started catching fish almost immediately! Josh provided us with so much knowledge and information which only enhanced our experience! As the trip went on Josh made sure we were safely traveling down the river and giving us plenty of time and space to fish while also giving us tips and tricks that he has learned throughout his time fishing! He was encouraging and had an amazing attitude! When it was time for lunch he outdid our expectations with a riverside bbq and cold drinks on a hot summer day in Oregon! We cannot thank Josh enough for sharing his passion for fly fishing and kick starting our honeymoon off with such a unique and scenic area!

Learned a lot. Great day on the river. Caught 20+++ fish. Captain Josh puts you right on em!! Great time. Will book with him again for steel head season .. Best guide out there.
