Captain Rudy provided an outstanding experience from start to finish. Before the trip he communicated what to expect, which I really appreciated. He did what he does best and put us on fish and made sure we had a fantastic day on the water.

What stood out most was Rudy’s combination of fishing expertise and people skills. He knows the water well and clearly understands where to find fish, but he’s also incredibly personable, patient, and easy to spend the day with. He took time to explain his equipment, the electronics and fishing instruments on the boat, and shared his knowledge throughout the trip, which made the experience both fun and educational.

I also appreciated how flexible and accommodating he was. My goal wasn’t just to catch fish, I wanted to enjoy the water, do a little swimming, and have a relaxing day. Rudy made all of that possible, and we even enjoyed a great lunch along the way.

Whether you’re an experienced angler, a complete beginner, traveling with family, or just looking for a memorable day on the water, Captain Rudy is the kind of guide who can tailor the experience to your goals. I usually don’t write comments but Rudy gave my daughter and I an absolutely perfect fishing day. We caught a lot of beautiful fish including a few King Salmons (one very big) and rainbow trout. It didn’t look like anyone else on the lake caught any fish. We took a celebration swim in the end while he filleted the fish. He really knows where the fish are, what they like and has top notch gear to get the job done. He’s also a pleasure to spend the day with. I’d highly recommend Rudy.

Great day of fishing on Folsom Lake!

A few things become obvious within your first hour on Rudy's boat: this guy loves fishing, is great at what he does, and he knows Folsom Lake. My son and I spent a great day fishing with Rudy and even as it approached 90 degrees around 10 o'clock, he was always working to find us the fish..Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

We had a great time and got our haul of large fish. Rudy certainly knows what he is doing and is great to hang out with.
