Kapitän Zac Horrocks ist ein staatlich lizenzierter Führer des Bundesstaates New York und Adirondacker in siebter Generation, der sein ganzes Leben lang in den Gewässern der Adirondacks geangelt und die Region seit über 20 Jahren als Guide betreut hat. Er verfügt über Erfahrung als Guide auf der ganzen Welt – darunter Martha's Vineyard, Alaska, Japan, Belize und Mexiko – und hat aus jedem dieser Orte wertvolles Wissen mitgenommen, um ein einzigartiges Erlebnis in den Adirondacks zu schaffen. Zacs Kunden erreichen die Seen von einer 22' Blazer Bay aus, die mit allem ausgestattet ist, was man für einen schönen Tag auf dem Wasser braucht.
Ob Sie ein erfahrener Angler sind oder zum ersten Mal angeln – Kapitän Zac passt das Erlebnis an die Fähigkeiten und Vorlieben jeder Gruppe an.
Auf Ihrem Ausflug haben Sie je nach See und Jahreszeit die Möglichkeit, Amerikanische Seeforelle, Bachsaibling, Regenbogenforelle, Schwarzbarsch, Forellenbarsch, Amerikanischer Flussbarsch, Amerikanischer Streifenbarsch, Sonnenbarsch, Crappie Sonnenbarsch, Hecht und vieles mehr zu fangen.
Die Angelmethoden können je nach Ihren Vorlieben und dem, was Kapitän Zac für den jeweiligen Tag/die jeweilige Uhrzeit/den jeweiligen Ort als beste Chance erachtet, Spinnfischen, Fliegenfischen, Trolling, Driftfischen, Jigging, Grundangeln und Popping umfassen.
Kinder sind immer herzlich willkommen an Bord! Kinder müssen Schwimmwesten tragen.

We had an awesome evening fishing Saranac Lake with Zac! We caught a bit of everything on our evening trip and was highlighted by catching a chunky sized large-mouth bass. Definitely recommend a trip with Zac if you’re looking for a great fishing experience in the Adirondacks. He’s a great fisherman with a ton of local knowledge and his #1 priority is for you to catch fish while having a fun time. We will absolutely be coming back in the future!
From the communication before the trip, to starting the journey, to the helpful tips, Zach was a perfect guide. Fascinating life plus super knowledgeable about the area. He also got us to a little secret spot on the lake where my kids caught about 10 bass in 30 minutes. Could not have been a better afternoon!
I booked a fishing outing with Zac Horrocks for my family during our stay in Lake Placid and we could not have been happier with the experience. Capt. Zac was a fantastic guide and was amazing working with our kids who have very limited fishing experience. He knew exactly where to take us on the lake for non-stop action that my son loved. Capt. Zac was even able to teach my daughter how to cast her own line for the first time and convince her to hold one of the fish she caught! I would recommend Capt. Zac to anyone interested in a fishing trip that will make memories for years to come and inspire kids to continue experiencing the great outdoors!
We had a fantastic trip with Zac. His knowledge of Lake Placid and fishing more generally was immediately apparent as soon as we stepped on the boat. He was extremely flexible and responsive regarding booking questions in advance of our trip. We also really appreciate his mission: helping to preserve Lake Placid’s serene environment and native ecosystem, through teaching local children and conducting outreach to government officials in hopes of generating support for the cause. We can’t wait for our next trip and would encourage anyone in the area to join Zac on the beautiful Lake Placid for an incredible fishing experience.
