Able Fisherman Charters 

We arrived at 6:00 and the Captian and First Mate was there to greet us. We were given a quick safety breifing about the to do’s and not to do’s in case of an emergency. As the Captain was driving us out we had a good time chatting with the first mate talking about various things as well as sharing of jokes. When it was time to fish we were reeling them in left and right so much so that we cought our limit on vermillion snapper after the second stop. We caught some trigger fish that were of decen size and had fun catching other fish even though they were out of season. All in all it was a grwat experience and we will definitely consider booking with them again.

We had a great family trip and loved getting to see our kids experience something most people never get to do. It was me, my husband (who works way too hard), our boys ages 11, 13, and 15, and our 14‑year‑old niece. The start was slow, with a few naps in the cooled bunk house — which honestly helped since my 13‑year‑old got nauseated. My 11‑year‑old caught the first Spanish mackerel and then went right to sleep. My oldest has an ankle injury but still stayed out on deck the entire time. Even though I didn’t fish so the kids could enjoy it, I had a great time watching them. We ended up catching Spanish mackerel, a small mahi mahi, and a few bonitos. We lost a couple fish, had one line cut clean through, and even hooked a monster that bent the hook straight. The kids were fired up. Our captain got us out and back safely, and our deckhand was laid‑back and easy to talk to — no awkward moments at all. We’d definitely do it again. Next time we’ll have to try bottom fishing.

wow! we have a wheelchair bound person in our party and were skeptical that a charter could accommodate and were proven wrong! 4 mean lifted him easily into and out of the boat chair and all. it was a very practice move and my brother felt secure and conifent through the experince. he wasnt able to get into the cabin or use the rest room as the boat does move quite a bit and there are 2 steps into the cabin about 4-6 inches tall and 3 inside the cabin to the bathroom about the same. however we brought sun protection and the first maye kept a cooling clothe on him at all times and no one was burned or too hot! very impressed with yhr thoughtfulness of the crew! we also all caught fish, the first mate was extremely instructive and helpful when it came to using the rods and getting fish and the captian made sure to go where the fish were biting (if we didnt get a nibble in 5-10 min he took us to another spot where we did!) not only did we have an excellent trip and caught over 30 fish at the end the fish cleaning shop had closed and our accommodation was an hour away. But first man Matt didnt let us fret for a second! he quickly volunteered to clean out first (above and beyond in my opinion) and bagged them while we ran to dollar general for coolers and ice. i truly cannot say enough great things highly HIGHLY recommend this trip to other ADA fisherman and families!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars! Had an awesome experience with Able Fisherman Charters in Panama City Beach. Captain Steve was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip a great time from start to finish. We got on the fish and ended up catching snapper, grouper, and triggerfish, which made the trip even better. Matt was working his tail off the whole trip, always helping us rebait our lines, keeping things moving, and giving helpful tips along the way. Not to mention all the jokes and laughs the whole time. You could tell he really cared about making sure everyone had a good time and stayed on fish. The boat was clean, everything was organized, and you could tell Captain Steve really knew where to go to get us on the fish. Great memories and an all-around great experience. Highly recommend Able One Charters and would definitely book again!

When I started looking online for a fishing charter, it was overwhelming with the number of options out there. Able Fisherman Charters stood out with one of the larger boats and solid reviews, so I decided to book with them. This trip was for me, my 11- and 14-year-old sons, and my 72-year-old father-in-law, so I was looking for something that would be fun and comfortable for everyone. I initially booked a 4-hour charter starting at 10 AM, but within minutes Captain Steve Paul called to discuss the trip and suggested an earlier start for better fishing. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and set clear expectations. We ended up moving to a 7 AM start and extending to 5 hours so we could include bottom fishing. At the dock, we met Captain Steve Paul and deckhand Matt, both were welcoming and professional. After a quick safety briefing, we headed out and quickly got into Spanish mackerel, which was a great start. We then moved to deeper water for bottom fishing, where Matt gave us helpful tips and got everything set up. As soon as we dropped lines, the action was nonstop. For about three hours we were constantly catching fish, so much so that my boys were complaining their arms were tired. We hit our limit on redfish and pulled in a bunch of sea bass, triggerfish and Red Snapper. All told, we caught well over 100 fish, releasing many due to size limits (Triggers) or bag limits (reds) and out of season (Red Snapper). Captain Steve Paul and Matt were excellent, attentive, fun, and made sure everyone in our group had a great time. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.
