Morning Mist Charters 

I had an excellent experience fishing with Morning Mist Charters. I went out for a pike fishing trip and everything was top notch from start to finish. He was on time, well prepared, and had all the gear ready to go so I could start fishing right away. What really stood out to me was that he never made me feel rushed. He took the time to make sure I was enjoying the experience and even stayed out longer than originally planned. He was also very flexible with scheduling, which made the whole trip easy and stress free. You can tell he knows the water extremely well and has a lot of knowledge about fishing and fish behavior. He was professional, patient, and easy to get along with the entire trip. He also did a great job explaining techniques and making sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself throughout the day. The boat and equipment were clean, organized, and well maintained, and overall the trip felt very safe and professionally run. Communication before the trip was excellent, and he made everything simple and straightforward from booking to the day on the water. It’s obvious he genuinely cares about giving people a great experience, not just getting through the trip quickly. I felt like I was fishing with someone who is passionate about what he does and takes pride in providing a quality experience for his clients. I would highly recommend Morning Mist Charters to anyone looking for a great fishing guide experience, whether you’re experienced or just getting started. The trip was well worth it, and I would definitely book another trip with him again.

We were in Lake Placid for a wedding and decided to get on some bass beforehand. Despite the rainy morning, Matt was able to get us on some nice smallmouth and largemouth. We had an absolute blast hanging out with Matt and catching some nice fish. He was super quick with communication and is full of knowledge of the lakes in the Adirondacks. Would love to make it back out on the water with Matt in the future!

I cannot recommend this experience enough. From start to finish, our half-day fishing trip exceeded every expectation. Matt was an outstanding guide — patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He made the entire experience fun and accessible, whether you are a seasoned fisherman or a complete beginner. We will absolutely be back.

i booked this trip for my finace and mom to enjoy some time as a family. they had nothing but good things to say about the scenery, fish, equipment and most importantly, Matt. When we return to lake placid we will definitely be booking with Matt again!
