First Bite Charters 

The Nice Kid, an older fishing boat, was meticulously maintained. Captain Dan and his long-time friend, both experienced, provided us with an exceptional five-hour fishing adventure. We successfully caught over ten striped bass in total. However, due to size regulations, we only managed to keep a few and released the rest. Our two families thoroughly enjoyed our time on the water. Thank you!

Captain Dan and Mate Tom were the best. Made me and my grandkids and their friends feel welcome and right at home. Tom explained and demonstrated handling the rods and reels and assisted greatly in getting the fish safely aboard. Captain Dan and Mate Tom made re a great team who made us feel welcome and appreciated as customers.

I (62) scheduled this trip for my son (32), my Son-in-law (38) and two grandsons (8 & 12). Being from Iowa, we are not “avid fishermen”. The crew was professional, helpful, courteous and most of all patient. My goal was to give these young men a “experience of a lifetime” that they could hold in their hearts forever. Capt. Dan and crew did everything they could to ensure that this happened. Mission Accomplished!!! The experience of being on a large boat, catching bait-fish (almost as big as anything we’ve caught before) and catching several large “stripped bass”. As “G’pa”, I received the honors of the BIGGEST fish!!! (too big to keep! LOL!) I highly recommend First Bite Charters for an experience of building memories for a lifetime with your family.

Booked the 7 hour Striper Charter, We had an amazing trip everyone in our group of 6 caught 2-3 Stripers each plus a fun blue fish Bycatch. It was our groups first time fishing Boston harbor and were surprised how congested the fishing spots can get so the crew has their hands full. From past trips and from today the first 4-5 hours was close to non stop action but once’s the tides shifted the bite stopped entirely. If I was to book a trip again I would definitely consider the half day charter. My friends can’t wait to go again!

Had a wonderful trip. Had a trip planned for at 1pm but Captian Dan thought it would be better at 6am. But with 3 13yr Olds don't think we'll make. He allowed us to leave at 9:30. First we went an caught live bait which the boys thought was cool. Then we each caught a very large stripped bass. And brought home one to cook. So far we've had three dinners. We booked a 5 hour trip for my 12 year old son’s Birthday. Kids had a blast ! It was a nice relaxing day on the water. Dan and Tom did everything and more to put us on the fish. Highly recommended booking with Captain Dan! Can’t wait to do it again!

I surprised my husband with a birthday charter for him and 5 buddies. They had a blast even though they didn’t catch a lot of fish. Being able to send them off with snack and beverages in their own cooler was great as well! Highly recommend Dan and his crew.

The captain and first mate were amazing. They both worked so hard to ensure we had live bait and found ourselves in the best position to catch some big fish. We were definitely fortunate to catch several monster striped bass in our first two hours. We ran out of bait due to our great luck in the first few hours, but the crew worked hard to catch more and keep us fishing. Overall, it was a great trip and I would highly recommend.

Terrific experience. These kind, patient guys taught the boys so much about fishing. Cannot wait to go out again.
