    Great for families

    3-stündiger Anfängerausflug (Morgen) am Oktober 9, 2026 • 5 Erwachsene • 2 Kinder

Flight delays and kings tide delayed our trip out, but the Captain was flexible and got us on the water. We did the 3 hour morning tour and the waters were pretty rocky, We caught 5 fish, all Mahi Mahi, they fileted it there and we got to bring it to a local recommendation to have it cooked for us after. The boat was really great. It has a small indoor area with a comfy couch and a refrigerator if you wanted to bring stuff with you to put in there. I think this a great trip for families with littler ones. Their set up is great for beginners or experienced fishermen, they gave great direction to help us reel in the fish. We had a great time, would definitely come back.

Great Day Fishing off Fort Lauderdale

    4-stündiger Ausflug – Privat - 13:00 Uhr am Juli 2, 2026 • 2 Erwachsene

Great day out !! Captain Vinnie knows where to go to get fish and first mate John knew how to teach us to catch them - he was superb all trip. My wife and i were in town for the World Cup and decided to charter a boat for a new experience and are glad we went with Y B Normal. Whilst we have done a little fishing before back in Scotland, this was different and great fun - black fin tuna, barracuda, mahi mahi and a wahoo kept us busy. Charter only but well worth the cost. Easy to find at Dania Beach Marina.

Choppy waters but still a great trip and crew!

    4-stündiger Ausflug – privater Ausflug am Mai 25, 2026 • 4 Erwachsene

Booked the trip several months ago and communication with Captain Vinnie was super easy. The waters were on the choppy side, but he had given us adequate notice of this the night before so everyone in our party took some dramamine prior to the trip and had no problems. Captain Vinnie did a great job finding the fish and his mate JT was awesome helping us! We caught mostly blackfin tuna but in the last 30 minutes we got a wahoo and a mahi mahi! He fileted those for us and gave us a restaurant recommendation where we took our fresh catch. We had them prepared 3 ways... fried, blackened, and sashimi style. All were delicious! We would definitely do this trip again and recommend Vinnie and JT to anyone!

    Great fishing trip

    4-stündiger Ausflug – privater Ausflug am Dezember 30, 2025 • 3 Erwachsene

We had an absolutely amazing fishing experience on our 4-hour morning trip, especially considering that this isn’t even the best season for fishing — and we still managed to land two Sailfish! I went with my two kids, and the entire trip was perfect from start to finish. The captain and deckhand were outstanding — extremely professional, friendly, and great with the kids. They worked nonstop to make sure we had a fun, exciting, and successful day on the water. I can’t recommend this company enough. If you’re looking for a professional crew, great vibes, and a truly memorable family fishing trip, this is the one to book. We will definitely be coming back!

    Wonderful fishing experience!

    5-stündiger Ausflug (Morgen) am April 3, 2026 • 6 Erwachsene • 3 Kinder

My son and I met up with my high school friend with his 2 sons and his dad. We all had an amazing time. Captain treated us to some Kite fishing as the water was extremely rough. Even with the rough seas he put us onto some sail fish and feisty barracudas. Our goal was to get a mahi for dinner and guess what, a solid one as big as the cooler hit the lines. We left this trip fully satisfied and will certainly book this again with hopefully better water condition. I would love to jig for snapper next time! Do not pass up this experience!

Hammered a big pile of Snapper!

    4-stündiger Ausflug – privater Ausflug am Juli 28, 2026 • 3 Erwachsene • 2 Kinder

Captian Vinnie and his first mate JT were awesome! Trolling was a little tough due to the sea weed, but the guys worked hard to us some snapper. We stayed ontop of a huge school and caught 15+! I went with my two boys (8 and 10). It was their first deep sea trip and it was a memorable one. I can’t thank the crew enough. I would highly recommend YB Normal!

    8-stündiger Ausflug am Mai 4, 2026 • 2 Erwachsene

First off. One of the most responsive captains in the area. secondly deckhand and captain combined over 50 years of experience, thirdly we caught a abundance of fish and different species when no one else in the area was. Overall would highly recommend. and would book again with this crew!

    Great Day on the Water!

    5-stündiger Ausflug (Morgen) am Februar 14, 2026 • 2 Erwachsene • 1 Kind

We wanted bigger fish if possible so we started with trolling. We did catch a mahi-mahi but the action wasn’t there. That’s when we went fishing off the bottom and lightning struck! We caught quite a number of red snapper and trigger fish. 9 snapper and 7 trigger in all but we caught nearly double that considering those we tossed back (too small). We came to catch and Captain Vinny and Deckhand JT delivered!

Great Start To Fall Deep Sea Fishing
Great Start To Fall Deep Sea Fishing
September 30, 2026
Hey there, Capt. Vinnie here back with a great Fort Lauderdale deep sea fishing report. We had a rainy week this week and a light cold front to cool things off, but there was a few days that the weather was absolutely fantastic, and i would say the fishing was just about the same. For the report this week we finally got to see the run of fall fishing we love. Mahi mahi is always a hot topic and fall is one of the best times to catch them, a lot of people think summer is the best and it can be but the fish tend to be smaller specially in our area and not much is consistent like as to where you can find them. The fall mahi season is when we see majority of our bigger mahi and plenty of numbers. Due to all the rain we have been having it has given our inshore waters a tanic look or tea color, and when we have an outgoing tide all that inshore water moves out to sea forming a tide line where the blue water meets the green water and that has been where the mahi fishing has been excellent. This tideline has been easy to find by the different color in the water as well as weed lines going north to south and floating debris. This is where the gulfstream water meets the outgoing tide. Trolling on the blue side has been straight money for mahi mahi and multiple hook ups have been the norm. Its very important to have rods to cast when you get multiple hook ups because majority of the fish are in a school and you want to take advantage of those opportunities. Average size on the mahi have been anywhere from 8-12lbs. We did find this edge on a half day trip but i recommend a 3/4 day trip or even all day trip right now if mahi is what your after. We have a photo this week of a great all day trip we had catching 40 mahi mahi! Exactly on that edge I was talking about. Other then mahi right now there has been some wahoo due to the full moon and the crazy king tides we have been having. The tidal edge I mentioned earlier is also a great place to try for wahoo and never hurts to fish a bait below the surface on a planner just in case! Inshore we are starting to see a fall flurry of king mackeral and it should keep improving as we get further into the month of October, last but not least there has been a small trickle of sailfish which I personally think maybe a hint for a great winter season, right now we are still mostly trolling for all species but in another few months all that gear will be put away and transition into our live bait gear, seeing a nice little flurry should continue as we reach our winter months. This week please take a minute to check out some of our great photos of some recent catches that were caught on our deep sea fishing charters and remember to give us a like and follow on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram at Ybnormalsportfishing for daily fishing content. Coming up, I think that the mahi fishing will continue to stay very good until November so there is plenty of time to get out there and catch them, also i think as the water cools we will see more blackfin tuna and a few more wahoo so be on the look out for that in future reports. As for availability there is plenty for the month of October and fall fishing is one of my favorite times and is when i tell a lot of our customers to come back and fish with us again! So if your thinking of coming down to do some deep sea fishing now is the time, the pictures speak for themselves all you have to do is look up is YB Normal servicing Fort Lauderdale, Dania beach and Hollywood beach for deep sea fishing charters. more later.... Rainy Week Of Deep Sea Fishing
Rainy Week Of Deep Sea Fishing
September 17, 2026
Hello there, Capt. Vinnie here back with another Fort Lauderdale sport fishing report. This week has been a little slow for us here in the deep sea fishing department, it's offseason right now and these hefty fuel prices are not helping for business either, but we were able to get out on a few trips this week and thats all thanks to our great customers that come to fish with us which we are very grateful and thankful for. Fishing this week has been some what tough, i hate to say it but thats what it is, we seem to be having what's called a cold water upwelling at the moment and the reason I can confirm that is because we have been having northern currents on the surface and southern currents on the bottom bringing that colder water from up north, also we have been experiencing a healthy amount of rain and that has made the inshore waters very green. In terms of fishing the trolling bite has been decent to say the best, blackfin tuna and bonito aka false albacores have been super prevalent early in the mornings in depths around 200 feet, majority of the action has been on the surface with smaller lures trying to imitate flying fish, the earlier the better right now if you can get out before the sun comes up even better, once the sun seems to get up the bite fades quickly. There has been some pretty nice sized tunas around as big as 15lbs but the false albacores have been on the smaller side. Bottom fishing this week has been the real winner with solid catches of larger vermillion and yellow eye snappers. We had some very good luck fishing some hard bottom in 270 feet with some quality fish to prove it, the month of September is one of the last months that the snappers spawn out of Fort Lauderdale and from fishing out here for so many years I knew exactly where to look. Last but not least way offshore the mahi mahi fishing has been great but an all day trip is absolutely necessary because of the distance they been offshore. The mahi have been on weed lines and birds, the most important thing is to be ready incase a school comes up when you hook up, having extra rods rigged for that and live bait is going to help maximize opportunities if you get that school of fish behind the boat, September and October are great months for mahi fishing in Fort Lauderdale so keep that in mind when planning your next trip. This week please be sure to check out some great photos of some recent catches that where caught while out on our deep sea fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale and remember to give us a like and follow on social media platforms like facebook and instagram at Ybnormalsportfishing for daily fishing content. This week coming up we are going to be down for some much needed maintenance, but will return full throttle the week prior with plenty availability for your next deep sea fishing charter. If your heading down to south Florida and looking to do some fishing check out YB Normal for all your deep sea fishing needs servicing Fort Lauderdale, Dania beach, and Hollywood beach. more later.....
