He grew up fishing with his father and grandfather, then followed his love of the sport and started running charters. Capt. George has been living down in Islamorada for almost 30 years, and knows all the best spots for each fish species.

    Experience of a lifetime!

    Doc and George are incredibly caring, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We had two young kids and two seniors in our group, and they ensured that we were having a fun and comfortable time throughout the trip. They taught us about various types of fish we had never seen before, and explained which ones we could keep and which ones needed to be released. My son enjoyed the experience so much that we requested an extension to the trip, and Doc and George kindly accommodated our request. The kids are already asking when we can come back, and we certainly will. Heartfelt gratitude to Doc and George for providing us with an unforgettable experience!

    An awesome fishing trip

    Halbtagesausflug - Riff & Wrack (Nachmittag) • 2 Erwachsene

    Caught about 30 fish in 4 hours, including 6 different species (yellow tail, grouper, two types of mackeral, barracuda, shark). Captain George and assisted by his son Georgie, are the best fishing guides we’ve had in the Keys.

    1/4 Trip Captain Doc

    This was our first charter. We are so glad that we did it. Doc told us we were lucky Red Grouper season had just open. We took a short ride to a spot that was about twenty feet deep you could see the bottom. It was beautiful. Even though Doc had been with people for two prior trips so over ten hours. He still was very patient with us. He was kind, polite and funny. We had a great time catching Grouper. I would highly recommend going on a charter with him. Thanks again Captain Doc for the fun and memories. We see you again!

    Lots of Action

    We were on fish within 45 minutes of leaving the dock. Caught many yellowfin, and son hooked into a monster grouper. Crew knew how to fish and change strategies to catch whatever was there. Family had a great time.

    1/4 day (2 hours) Family Trip!

    1/4 Tagesausflug am Riff - 12:00 Uhr • 5 Erwachsene • 3 Kinder

    What a great experience!!! My kids are 2,5, and 7 and my older kids had been asking to go fishing on a boat and to catch something we could eat. I was excited to find a 2 hour option, as I didn’t think our young kids would stay interested for much longer than that, but still was a little nervous about how this would go down - haha. Doc and George were AMAZING! They were beyond patient with my kids, taught the older boys the proper way to fish, and let my 2 year old reel in fish that they hooked! My husband and I even got to find a little bit because the kids were so engaged! Afterwards, Doc cleaned the fish and butchered the fish we caught and let my kids feed the tarpon by the dock with the remains. It was such a fun trip for all. My 2 year old keeps asking for “more fish,” and the older two asked if we can go back tomorrow! They can be a tough crowd but it was a blast!

    Captain Doc and 1st mate George are excellent Fishermen. We caught 26 snappers and almost hit our limit in 2 hours. He rigged us up to catch a shark too. Great day on the water!

    Would recommend this charter to anyone! My son's dream was to catch a Mahi Mahi and boy did Doc and Georgie make this happen. All 5 of us caught Mahi Mahi. I also had a nervous daughter on the boat with us and Georgie was able to talk to her and make her feel a little better. This was great experience! Thank you Doc and Georgie. We will be back!!

    Doc took us out for a half day and we had an excellent time. Started at a reef and caught all the snappers we cared to reel in which was great for the kids. Then went out to a wreck where we caught 3 Bonito and lost 3 more. We caught some other smaller snappers and blue runners at the wreck as well. Overall it was a great time and they were great with the kids.

    Half day trip...lots of snapper, got shark and Mahi mahi...took it to local chef to get it prepared...it was all outstanding. Captain and Georgi were awesome and so helpful and passionate to make it a good trip.

    Great experience. Hit snapper, then Bonita and a whopper 25lb Blackfin tuna. 6 amateurs on family trip. Captain George made it a fun day.

    The crew worked super hard to get us on fish. We got a good amount of yellow tail. The sharks got a lot of our fish before we got it in the boat. It was a good fishing day with family.

Cobia beginnen zu erscheinen, manchmal in großen Schwärmen. Die Meeräschen-Wanderung bringt Sailfish nah an die Küste, zusammen mit den letzten Blackfin Tuna. Dies ist auch eine ausgezeichnete Zeit für Forellen und Redfish in den Flachwasserbereichen.

The reef and offshore bite is incredible right now! The reefs are getting a late run of Mutton and Yellowtail snappers. On the offshore wrecks and humps there is a reliable bite of tuna and sporadic dolphin showings.

Snapper galore!

It's that time if you again! 3-5 lb. Mangrove snappers on lite tackle gear. We've been getting our limit each day. The yellowtails and Mutton snapper up to 20 lbs help to round off the box daily. You can even get in on the action on a 1/4 day trip. Book soon spots are limited.
