My passion for fishing and being on the water began with my grandfather taking me fishing offshore in Ocean City, Maryland at the age of 6.The enjoyment I get from my clients excitement boating a grouper or my mate gaffing a Wahoo only adds to my passion to continue searching for that trophy wall hanger or bottom bumping for that reminiscent back water flounder.

10 Stunden - 2026 Nördlicher Schnapper Saison • 6 ErwachseneWe had an incredible fishing trip today! The captain was outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, and worked hard to make sure everyone had a great experience. The boatmen were just as fantastic, always helping out, keeping lines in the water, and making the trip enjoyable from start to finish. Best of all, we caught tons of fish! It was an unforgettable day on the water, and you could tell the entire crew genuinely wanted everyone to have a successful trip. I highly recommend this captain and his crew to anyone looking for a great fishing experience. We’ll definitely be back!

4-stündiger Ausflug – in Küstennähe - 8:00 Uhr • 6 Erwachsene • 3 KinderCapt Scott and Ronnie are top class gentlemen in addition to being spot on with where and how to catch the fish. Helped us bring in a few nice sized sharks to show off pictures, then took us to another area to find fish we could take home and cook. This was awesome regardless, but especially if you have a curious young one looking to explore. Ronnie is great with both kids and adults; super patient and instructive. Captain Scott is warm, fun, and has some great stories. 4 hours was great for us, will book a longer one with them next time to get out into deeper waters. Experience was 11/10

Even on a slower fishing day — and that’s just the weather doing what it wants — they made the entire trip outstanding. Both were welcoming, patient, and incredibly inclusive with my whole crew. They kept my teenage son and daughter engaged, and even my 12‑year‑old was all in. Not a single screen was asked for, which tells you everything. Jimmy’s got about 101 stories, each more epic than the last, and Scott runs a smooth, comfortable, family‑friendly boat. We’d book with them again without hesitation and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great day on the water.

6-stündiger Ausflug – Riff/Wrack - 1:00 PM • 6 ErwachseneWe went out for a 6 hr trip Saturday. There were (4) of us. My wife, myself, brother, & dad. The boat and crew were ready to go! Captain Scott put us right on the fish and we caught and caught the fish. Jimmy the first mate is a hoot! Quiet the story teller. very animated! you can tell he loves the job. I recommend this Captain and his boat and crew to anyone looking to have a great day out on the water catch some nice ones! Thanks again Captain Scott! Sincerely, Chief and the gang

It was a picture perfect day calm seas and very little current at the ledge. 200 feet of water under the boat and the bait was hanging straight up and down for bottom fishing the ledge. Scamp grouper, Gag Grouper, Mutton Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Amber jack and others.

2026 Red Snapper Season

Hello Anglers,
Unbelievable news from Fernandina Beach .
Our Florida Governor Ron Desantis held a press conference this morning here at Fernandina Beach, Fl.
He and his staff along with FWC and others have been working hard to have control of the Red Snapper fishery along the Atlantic coast of Florida and it is now a reality that we will be having a Red Snapper season like we have not seen in years. Beginning May 22, 2026 thru June 30, 2026 Red Snapper season will be open. Then beginning in October 2026 we will have some weekends.
Pipe Dream Charters will be accepting bookings for 2026 Red Snapper Season. These open dates will not last long.

2025 fishing season

HELLO ANGLERS,
It's the beginning of a new year and already the bite is hot black sea bass, triggers, vermillion snapper and the endangered red snapper. The bite is so hot it's going to melt the snow that's forecast for northeast Florida this week.
Yesterday Pipe Dream III was 50 miles offshore bottom fishing. The Lane Snapper bite was on fire along with vermillion snapper and red snapper. We moved 20 miles closer to shore when the wind picked up. It didn't take long to start catching some nice black sea bass and vermillion snapper, we still couldn't escape the endangered red snapper, they are everywhere. Note, just a few day ago I did receive a NOAA bulletin about increasing our red snapper season for 2025.
Looking ahead into the upcoming 2025 season:
The Wahoo run is already starting, with some nice fish being weighed. Gulf stream blue water trolling for Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, Sails and Blue Marlin will be heating up in March and their north bound migration should continue strong thru May. Deep drop bottom fishing for Mutton Snapper, Mangrove Snapper and other deep dwellers is happening now and will continue but getting out there is weather dependent. Grouper season opens May 1st.
March is typically when the Big Black Drum start showing up near shore and the Red Fish will fill in the gap between bites. March also ushers in near shore trolling for Spanish Mackerel. If you have young children the jetties and river offer some nonstop action for Whiting and the kids get a blast catching sharks.
As the waters warm and the pogies begin showing up the Kings are right behind them. Trolling for Kings is fast action as they will run 100 yards before you can blink. The Kings aren't the only ones chasing the pogies The Tarpon AKA " Silver King" will be trolling the jetties in search of some menhaden.

You gotta feel the bite

Sheep head fever! Me and my friends fished with Captain Scott on Pipe Dream Charters Thursday December 19th. We departed from the dock at 7am, had a little bit of fog on the ride out but wasn't bad at all. We were targeting sheepshead and black drum and boy did we catch them!! The sheepshead are very tricky to catch but once you get the hang of it they are fun fish to fight! Captain Scott was awesome, it was a very good time. I appreciate it Captain Scott and highly recommend Pipe Dream!
